“White man” Shahzad arrested

| May 4, 2010

Despite their best attempts to will the perpetrator of the attempted bombimg in New York City this weekend into a “white man”, authorities instead arrested a Pakistani man according to the Washington Times;

The suspect, Faisal Shahzad, was identified by customs agents at John F. Kennedy International Airport and was stopped, according to officials who spoke to The Associated Press early Tuesday on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation. He had recently returned from a five-month trip to Pakistan, where he had a wife, but was not apparently headed back there, the officials said.

After denying for two days that there was evidence of terror in the incident, Eric Holder, out attorney general finally conceded that Shahzad’s motivations were terror-related;

Attorney General Eric Holder said today there is no question that the person or persons behind the failed bombing attempt in Times Square intended to spread terror across New York.

Next thing you know, he’ll admit that we are actually fighting a war against terror. Wouldn’t that be a joyous moment?

ADDED: I almost forgot Republican Peter King’s buffoonery;

That view was echoed by the top Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Peter King of New York. “(T)here does not appear to be any foreign connection, there was no intelligence chatter before, there was no conversation since indicating that this was coordinated from overseas…

That’s the measure of foreign terror; whether or not terrorists are able to shut up about it.

Yeah, I kept hearing all the usual suspects saying it was a “lone wolf” or an “isolated event”. Or better yet, shitstain Bloomberg’s comment; “If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that. Homegrown, or maybe a mentally deranged person, or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something.” Or this nugget of pure genius; “It looks like an amateurish job done by at least one person.” No shit. So you mean that Nissans, not to be outdone by Toyota’s non-braking-death-rockets of doom, can’t drive themselves into Times Square and detonate without “at least one person”, albeit an “amateur”? Disbelievable. Unpossible.

[…] You can read more at the link as well as from this additional Huffington Post report where it appears this guy was trying to car bomb the Comedy Central parent company.  Also This Ain’t Hell looks at how some people were trying to pin this attempted car bombing on someone other than a Muslim terrorist. I am just wondering if the usual people will be making excuses for this guy that he was picked on or stressed out like they did with Hasan after after the Ft. Hood shooting?

The thing that bothers me the most is now the left needs to admit that we have people of color in the tea party, or that this wasn’t a tea party activist. I mean, just imagine the conundrum they find themselves in this morning.

I’m guessing Shahzad was just pissed about the existence of the fed.

I wonder when mayor Bloomingidiot is going to issue an apology for hinting that it may have been a tea partier?

Also, I heard this morning, that another jet bound for Dubai was turned around and 3 more people were removed from that one.

Our local fishwrap did everything it could to explain away his Paki status. It was sickening. All the excuses, “could be many reasons he could have done this, have not ruled out a “range of motives”, an overseas angle does not necessarily mean the incident was planned or finaced by al-Qaida or another organized group, and this one, some officials cautioned that the international focus sid not mean that other possibilities, such as domestic terrorism or an individual acting alone, were being ruled out. Nor did it mean, they said, that international ties automatically constituted a well-formed plot.” And we’re supposed to take these people seriously? I’m sure this guy was just acting upon the orders of an 82 y/o w/fm member of the Tea Party. It’s gone beyond frustrating to just plain sad and scary.

And if that’s not enough to make your heads explode, Former First Lady Rosalyn Carter basically the US is the cause of these attacks on our soil. No wonder she and Jimmuh have been happily married all these years–they’re BOTH batshit crazy socialist apologist hacks.

Claymore-

You leave me scratching my head…as a tea party person, maybe I’m not so smart if I have to wonder about the fact that SUV’s kill people not terrorists…ahem. (That did need a spew alert!)

Bloomberg is an idiot, as is Napolitano and the dead fish, too.

The media were hoping it was a white guy who likes lower taxes and loathes Obamacare. I don’t think we’d hear so much chatter about how “unclear” motives if the culprit was a white guy with an NRA sticker on his truck.

I remember the Oklahoma attack in ’95. For a brief period of time, news outlets were reporting that the authorities were on the lookout for a Middle Eastern man. It turned out not to be a Middle Eastern man, of course. It was a white guy from Buffalo named McVeigh. Not your average terrorist, but a real piece of shit nonetheless.

Oh, how wounded the Arab community was! Racist Americans had jumped to the conclusion that a major terrorist attack had been orchestrated by a Middle Eastern guy–of all people! I mean, how RANDOM! Everyone knows that Middle Eastern guys are no more likely to blow shit up than say, Swedish guys named Sven, or Japanese tourists, or French Canadians.

Later, when the DC sniper was on the loose, authorities were on the lookout for white men in a white pickup truck. And now this latest NYC bomb plot, and what do we hear? A white guy did it.

A white guy from Pakistan named Faisal Shahzad.

Can I get some victim points now?
