Stephen Colbert Does What Nobody Else Has the Balls To Do

| April 14, 2010

We’ve been calling out WikiLeaks and their friends in the anti-military left over the “collateral murder video” pretty frequently here at TAH for the last week. We aren’t the only ones: most of the milblog community (including many left-leaning and anti-war veterans blogs) has been demolishing this blatantly editorialized video.

Last night Stephen Colbert did what seems like nobody else in the media has the balls to do: call out WikiLeaks director Julian Assange and expose him as a fraud.

Watch the whole thing, it is worth it:

Beautiful. Finally, someone takes Assange and WikiLeaks off its high horse and exposes them as another anti-military propaganda outfit with an agenda. I bet this guy was expecting a softball interview too. Does anybody honestly believe they leak everything they get now? How much more footage or documentation are they sitting on in regards to this incident?

It is a sad commentary on the state of big media in this country that a professional comedian with a fake news show exposes more about a major news story than an established REAL media outlet.

I didn’t think he was serious about it at all… But yeah better than the other media types that have let these idiots get away with slander.

I would like to see that idiot be interviewed by Rush or Hannity or a Military journalist.

Sure would be nice to get a media outlet that actually looks out for the troops and the nation…Right now it is only Fox News. When GWB was in office it was ALL the alphabet networks… funny how when they all become state sponsored they quit looking out for us.

I guess I get to be yet another turd in the punchbowl, because I didn’t think Colbert called this douchebag out on virtually anything other than the media manipulation part. I mean he teed up the whole “the firefight was a lie” and then promptly said that 28 mins earlier there were reports of small arms fire…I gotta ask what this jackoff’s idea of a “firefight” is if it doesn’t involve fucking small arms fire?

Where’s the link? Has it been taken down?

(sigh) Been made out a liar again.
The link came up AFTER I posted. (Took it long enough)

One of the rare times you will see Colbert break character. Kudos to him, although I think he could have pressed this asshat just a little bit harder.

Colbert has balls I’ll say that for sure. First time I have ever seen him break character, but is literally the only “journalist” to bring attention the the issue that though the wikileaks video is REALLY shocking and hard to watch, it has been edited, information about circumstances are left out, and its viewers are manipulated. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but it seems like behind the safety of their “fake news desks” Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are the only people ballsy enough to call things like they truly see them!
