The Two State Question.

| March 24, 2010

I want to shift topic up a bit since what has been happening in the Israel. One of the things that I had thought a while back after the Fatah and the Hamas splitting the West Bank and Gaza was that this was a chance for the Fatah to have a fresh start. That is they really wanted to seek a two state solution that they could do it with having to deal with Hamas.

But it seems that for the most part that the West Bank is not that interesting compared to Gaze. That perhaps a real chance for peace could happen. Then why is Israel so focused on added more settlements in that area? I know that there will be a difference of opinion on this one so I wanted to see what is the point of all this.

I can imagine that Hamas is looking for the next propaganda jackpot and this just plays right into their hand making dealing with Gaze that much harder. More so now since Hamas seems to be falling out of favor since their original elections.

So what good is a few new houses going to do here?

Israel left Gaza and the Sinai and look what it got them… More rockets fired deeper into Isreal. East Jerusalem was cleansed of all Jews and most Christians during Jordanian control in the 50’s and 60’s, why wouldn’t they move back? More Jews living in these areas makes it more difficult for terrorists to attack the way I see it. I don’t see why Israel would believe (or anyone else) if they gave up more land everything would be hunky dory.

So what good is a few new houses going to do here?

I guess I would ask what harm could a few more houses do here? Make muslim extremists angry? Doesn’t seem to take much to do that…

Israeli land, Israeli homes. They are allowed to build upon their own land. It is NOT the Palestinians, or anyone else’s land. There can never be a “two-state” solution, only a single state that is Israel.

Would anyone here favor returning the southwest to Mexico or the La Raza pukes for a “homeland”? I don’t think so.

Screw the Palestinians. They are a made-up people, anyway. They existed as a separate nation, a unique people, only in the fevered minds of British Colonialists. There have always been Jews in Israel, they have owned the land for more than 35 centuries, long before the Arabs came along.

Let Jordan, and Egypt and Syria and Lebanon take in the “Palestinians” since that is where they belong.

There are several issues here. I believe that Israel has really frozen building in the West Bank. Building in this area is, to some degree, a legitimate issue and there is disagreement among Israelis.

The new houses at issue right now are in Jerusalem. The “Palestinians” want East Jerusalem, where the Western Wall is located as their capital. When Arabs held that area, they would not let Christians or Jews vist or live there. No Israeli PM is EVER going to cede control of this area.

The fact that the “Palestinians” want it, does not mean they are entitled to it or shoul have it. Israel has been infinately better at preserving Muslim holy sites than the Arabs have been at preserving Jewish ones.

I believe what you posted was actually very logical. But, what about this? suppose you were to write a awesome post title? I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added a post title to possibly grab a person’s attention? I mean This ain't Hell, but you can see it from here » Blog Archive » The Two State Question. is kinda boring. You should glance at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create news titles to get viewers to click. You might add a video or a related pic or two to get people interested about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it might bring your posts a little bit more interesting.
