That budget busting healthcare bill

| March 19, 2010

I’ve been avoiding discussing the healthcare bill the last few weeks because you guys come here to discuss stuff you can’t find anywhere else on the internet. But the healthcare debate has sucked the oxygen out of everything else on the internet. Even dicksmith is answering questions no one asked on healthcare. Frankly, I’d prefer he give us veterans guarantees that we’re not going to be penalized for having free health care. I never said our health care would change as a result of the health care bill (other than the fact that rolls will increase) – I just don’t want to pay the IRS a penalty for my VA/Military health care.

Our hope rests with a small number of Democrats upon whom we’re depending to stick to their principles for a change. Their names are; Bart Stupak, Jason Altmire, Michael Arcuri, John Boccieri, Jim Costa, Brad Ellsworth, Gabby Giffords, Suzanne Kosmas, Betsy Markey, Scott Murphy, and John Tanner. Politico profiles the hold-outs. Gabriel Malor posts their contact information at Ace of Spades.

Since no one is going to listen to us conservatives, John Hawkins at Right Wing News has assembled 32 quotes from Democrats as reasons people should oppose the healthcare bill. You should read them all – even if you already oppose the bill.

The GOP sent me a comparison of what Obama said last year about the cost of his bill, and what the CBO said yesterday. Here’s the CBO score (.pdf), if you want to wade through it.

Contra Dicksmith, if you have Tricare or Tricare for life, your healthcare will infact be negatively impacted. So, once again, he is lying.

Yeah, this disaster is a pack of lies. It’s a $250-$300 billion per year permanent entitlement — and that’s the optimistic scenario. Their own CBO #s have it around $220 billion once the spending fully kicks in. And that’s before the “doc fix” which they will do in the next few months. They took that out to make the CBO #s better but it is hundreds of billions of health care spending.

The CBO #s also include taxes on unions that will be never be collected and cuts in medicare that will be repealed.

Obama and the Left’s plan is pretty clear. Massively ramp up spending and then pivot and demand we be fiscally “responsible” by massively raising taxes and slashing defense spending. It’s a “Gorge the Beast” strategy.

Where are we gonna get a new $300 billion a year? To the Obama-left that $600 billion defense budget is looking pretty sweet.

My gut tells me that jkt is low-balling it all. First, the CBO figures announced yesterday are Preliminary Estimates, since there is no “Bill” to score, and second,… bogus anyhow since the numbers have been so fudged and obfuscated.

Face it, this is the Takeover of our Country, right before our eyes. If any Citizens deserve Health Care, my first Vote would be for Veterans. This isn’t about Health Care, or Insurance Reform, this is about the establishment of a Tyranical, Marxist Regime….in the U.S.A….from within.

I will be at a Local Tea Party Movement Rally in the morning, specifically aimed at our own, dear, Local REPRESNTATIVE “Geez, Louise Slaughter”, for her part in this atttempt to assist in the Overthrow of the Intent of the Founders and the downfall of our way of life.

Most who read this Blog are Miltary, and I thank you for your Service. This Issue is just as great a threat to our Nation as any Enemy we,… you, have ever faced on the Field of Battle. You didn’t let US down before, please don’t let us down now. Turn out somewhere, somehow tomorrow and Sunday and kick some Liberal, Progressive Ass.

Please.

The bill will crush us with another entitlement we can’t afford, make our healthcare suck (we want ALL healthcare to be worse than the VA?) and give annoying liberal/leftards means to force us to do things for “our own good” and make us miserable. Just say no! Dump the bill!
