MIAMI (WSVN) – A 24-year-old man has died after an argument between a group of people in Miami’s Brickell section took a turn for the worse.Cellphone video captured the massive police response after the fatal shooting in the area of Southwest Ninth Street and First Avenue, at around 1:00 a.m., Wednesday.
Upon arrival, City of Miami Police officers located the man suffering from gunshot wounds. He has since succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Jalen Alexander Spence.
Preliminary information revealed that a confrontation took place, which then escalated into a shooting.
“There was some sort of confrontation between two or three people, which led up to someone pulling out a gun,” said City of Miami Officer Michael Vega.
According to 7News sources, two women were leaving the Blackbird Ordinary nightclub at around 12:45 a.m. when they began arguing with each other while walking down the street.
“My husband was outside, and he said he saw people arguing,” said a woman. “It was like a bunch of young girls and two guys.”
Sources said Spence, who was unrelated to the situation, approached the women and began to heckle and flirt with them, sparking an argument between them and a boyfriend of one of the women.
Spence, in an attempt to supposedly intimidate the women, pulled out a gun.

Man killed in home invasion robbery
DYERSBURG— One area man is dead, and two others are arrested and charged in a home-invasion style robbery this week.
Dyersburg Police Chief Thomas Langford said the department has been investigating the incident since it was reported just before 8 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025. The department continues to investigate different aspects of the incident.
The initial investigation reveals Christopher Terry, 19, of Tiptonville, was shot during the home invasion after the resident defended himself, Langford said. Jeremiah Terry, 18, of Dyersburg, and Raymon V. Patton, 20, of Dyersburg, were arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated robbery, attempted second-degree murder, and possessing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
The incident began when police responded to a shots-fired complaint in the area of Upper Finley Road at about 7:45 p.m. Monday, according to the Dyersburg police report.

Mr. Patton seems pretty pleased about getting his intake pic. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Can’t tell he players without a program and a scorecard.
And again we see that nothing good happens after midnight.
One thing we can tell, Tox, is that teh stoopid is strong here. The Gun Bunny may be back (kinda sorta), but these two (2) doods won’t be. “victim” *sigh*
Lotsa catching up to do, including the unloading of The Prime Mover. I was able to monitor the net, albeit it was difficult to do on a portable telegraph device. I did notice that, despite a warning order was issued The Gun Bunny would NOT be around for the dropping of the vaunted TAH Friday Weekend Open Thread, the haters of all things Gun Bunny sat back and allowed the crayon munching, no refreshment providing, obsolete software peddling Stoned Hacker to just waltz in and snag the Coveted Prize of FIRST. I don’t want to hear any more bitching and moaning when (and if) said Gun Bunny decides to come back in and earn his rightful place on the Throne. It will probably be a total wreck by then.
Did you bring us anything?
There may and/or may not be a coupla jugs of the Cinnamon Infused Apple Stump Water still in the Prime Mover. The Peach Brandy Stump was consumed, raised in a toast when We “Said their Names” and became “their witnesses”.
Meh. I was on the road (vacay) the Friday before, and helping my aged (95 y.o.) mother last Friday, so I wasn’t even paying attention to WoT Friday.
Good stuff.
Since the new Ruger/Magpul RxM is so innovative and modular:
1-are parts interchangeable between the RxM & a G19? (besides mags)
2-can you get an extended threaded barrel for a suppressor?
Too ugly to interchange, better to get a Glock. :0) They make compact in .45 ACP, 10 rounds and two extra mags as part of the kit.
