A few quick follow-ups to folks we have seen in the past:
Starting with ol’ Tombstone Teeth Sandy – Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez has been recently jet-setting (literally) around the country with Bernie Sanders, presumably to raise her public awareness for a potential run at a higher position. As has been disclosed in he past, this could even include running for President as some of the more ‘progressive’ Democrats seem willing to do. (Presumably, that implies that the whuppin’ Harris got in 2024 wasn’t enough – my guess is they’re not out there for the huntin’, if ya knowwhadImean.) She is showing signs of ambition, especially since she has turned 35 and is at least from an age standpoint, qualified.
Five months ago, she chose to play the inside game with her fellow House Democrats, running for her party’s top post on the high-profile Oversight Committee. She came up short to a more senior lawmaker, Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia, and left the committee entirely.
Yeah, nothing says commitment like ‘if I can’t run the sandbox I ain’t gonna play’.
Connolly unexpectedly announced Monday he will soon step aside for health reasons, leaving her with another critical choice — one made even more momentous by how much has changed inside the Democratic Party since she last chose to try and move up the House ranks.
Big fish in the Congressional pond? Run for Prexy? Not even her closest advisers seemingly know for sure which way she is leaning.
While she might be the prohibitive favorite if she runs, there are obstacles. For one, she would need to rejoin the panel after securing a junior post on the more coveted Energy and Commerce Committee, which would force senior leaders to waive some caucus rules and potentially do some reshuffling. Most Democrats believe that would be a formality if she ultimately decides to run.
There’s also a candidate in the race already. Connolly named Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) to head up the committee in his absence, and Lynch said Monday he intends to run for the permanent post and had Connolly’s endorsement to do so.
I strongly recommend reading the Politico article with an empty stomach. The author seems enamored.
Moving on – Tiffany Henyard, the embattled Chicago-area mayor who ran her city Dolton into the ground financially, who has been here multiple times, had her head handed to her in the elections and is due to become a private citizen. Thank God for that. But MSN reports on the money she was making before.
Newly obtained records show Henyard’s gross pay at her two government jobs totaled more than $347,000 last year.
The payout includes a total of $282,812 from the township. That includes an annual salary of $202,950, in addition to allowances for a telephone, vehicle and $59,400 for “expenses.”
WGN Investigates also found Henyard and other township officials collect $400 per day for travel within Illinois and $600 per day for travel outside the state, adding to her total compensation.
The officials collect the daily travel stipend, despite charging first-class flights, luxury hotels, transportation and meals to taxpayer-funded credit cards. MSN
I’m not sure that in Illinois if you are given a daily travel allowance, put the travel on your government credit card, and pocket the per diem, it’s even considered corruption. Illinois…
And we’ll close with SGT Greville Clark. We mentioned his arrest at Ft. Hood Cavazos on multiple charges of attacking and raping females in the barracks. He got life. Plus.
Sgt. Greville Clarke, 31, was convicted on 29 counts including rape, intent to commit kidnapping, attempted premeditated murder, sexual assault, indecent visual records, robbery, physical assault and obstruction of justice. The offenses, which took place between 2021 and 2022, involved five female soldiers attacked in their barracks.
Additionally, Clarke was sentenced to 112.5 years on top of the life sentence, a reduction in rank to E-1, a dishonorable discharge from the Army, and a total forfeiture of pay and allowances. Military.com
Leavenworth can be real pretty in the spring…somehow I doubt his accommodations will allow him to appreciate it. Well worth reading the article, if nothing else to wonder how he is still breathing. He shouldn’t be.

I hear that when prisoners like him die, if the next of kin doesn’t want the remains, they’re buried in some remote place with only their prisoner number on a small piece of cement to mark it.
Any designation of any type is too much recognition for this turd. I can see in the future some goodie goodie two shoes will want to honor all the buried prisoners in the military prison. With annual programs to honor them. No way this should happen. Cremation with his ashes flushed down the toilet.
Add the ashes to the concrete mix for septic tanks.
Can his GC award be revoked retroactively? It should.
And as one of The Brotherhood of the NDSM, I vote that that medal should be pinned directly to his chest, then ripped off and removed from his records.

When someone is received at the USDB at Fort Leavenworth, they’re escorted into a room in full Military Uniform and upon command, the Escorts retreat to a different spot upon where the USDB Personnel come up and STRIP all decorations and insignia from their uniforms, depositing it into a trash can next to them while telling the new prisoners that they have NOTHING left of their Military Career. This was told me by a friend who was an MP during his time in the early 80s.

I visited the USDB when I had business at USP next door. A LT showed us around the prison, including the graveyard where deceased inmates are buried. He said the German spies who came ashore and were caught during WWII were hanged there and are buried separately from American military prisoners. BTW, an officer at the USP next door said during the Cuban missile crisis President Kennedy issued an order if we came under nuclear attack, the facility was to execute the inmates.
Regarding AOC, I get the tombstone teeth moniker, but me thinks they look more like Chicklets.
