Team Biden created customer profiles based on purchase data: Conservatives and Christians targeted

| December 7, 2024

The House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released a report. Their findings were damning and detailed efforts to identify purchases related to Donald Trump, the Bible, sporting goods, etc. The government’s aim was to identify “potential” extremists. The report identified banks that turned over private data to the FBI. No warrants were issued to authorize these searches. The government subsequently created profiles on some customers based on their purchases.

From Daily Mail:

The House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government just released its damning findings, which the panel found skews heavily toward surveillance of Americans inclined to support President-elect Donald Trump.

‘The federal government is spying on your bank account,’ the Republican-led panel posted in a video on X summarizing its 47-page report.

‘The federal government has conditioned financial institutions to work for them,’ another alarming slide on the video reads.

What the video seeks to explain is the complex and convoluted process in which major financial firms, like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase and more have all handed over their customer’s data to the government for free.

‘The next time you swipe your [bank or credit] card know that someone may be watching,’ the subcommittee video eerily adds.

This data can include the location, date and description of transactions, making it easy for the government to compile an understanding of where people go, what they buy and what activities they spend their time on.

After receiving this data, the FBI created an internal portal, where employees could search these typically private transactions and profiles could then be made on individual citizens of concern, like those who have shopped at Cabela’s or purchased a Bible, the panel claims.

Over 14,000 federal employees accessed that sensitive financial data in 2023 during which the subcommittee claims 3.3 million ‘warrantless searches’ were made.

So, what’s the count today on conspiracy theories being correct?

Graybeard

Way too damn many.

David

Easier to count the ones that AREN’T, seemingly.

5JC

But JFK? The CIA definitely didn’t kill him right?

E. Conboy

Was he killed?

Grunt

When is the list of those employee names going to be published, so the affected citizens can sue for civil rights violations?

Graybeard

“In the year 2525, if man is still alive…”

Odie

Good musical choice.

Graybeard

Thanks, Odie. Was hoping I wasn’t too obscure with that one.

SFC D

Song gave me the creeps when I was a kid.

timactual

It is kind of eerie. For some reason I always associate it with the movie “2001, a Space Odyssey”.

I was one of those affected by/a victim of the Chinese hack of the OPM database repository of security clearance data. I filed a FOIA request and they sent me about 200 pages of stuff going back a couple Periodic Reinvestigations.

I was a bit bemused when I found that the FBI had redacted portions of a couple pages. No explanation provided. Its good to know the chinese have the info I’m the only one who doesn’t have the info.

Grunt

Not even kidding. If courts start finding individual federal employees personally liable for tens of millions of dollars of damages, I bet this sort of misbehavior would stop rather quickly.

But Kash Patel is a “threat” to norms of the FBI <eye roll>.
Again, everything the Diddycrats say Republicans are going to do the they’re are ready doing it. Snowden proved that a decade ago.

The FBI came around Lonesome Pine and asked Psul for a list of everyone who purchased outdated and overpriced Red Hat Software. He handed them a blank sheet. Then he explained that he was not trying to interfere with their investigation, that was the list of customers.

Good to know in case I lose a copy of my receipt. In case I need to make an exchange or whatnot.

There will come a reckoning…Prepare

Jimbojszz

Everyone on this site is on that list. 3.3 million people spied on is what’s uncovered so far. My guess is it’s a lot higher number than that. Just the tip of the iceberg.

KoB

Here’s some more lists you’re probably on, Jim…

And yet I’m authorized unescorted flightline access and fly in the gov planes yet. I better be careful or they might take my keys away.

26Limabeans

Yeah but are you Sleigh rated?

George

Just the tip of what we are getting screwed with

E. Conboy

Well, they’ll die of boredom if they tap my file.

I laugh at their lists. I have been on at least one list since 1969. As we used to say in the Bad Olde Days, “What are they going to do, send me to Vietnam?”.

George

Unfortunately, this is completely legal and will need to be changed with legislation.

Used to work for Wells Fargo years ago. Every Credit Card application you sign states your information can be shared with IRS and law enforcement without your consent. The consent does not go away even if your Credit Card application is denied.

Hope Republicans can fix this.

SFC D

Consent is one thing, but the feds seriously perverted the intent behind the access. I’m pretty certain that politically motivated lawfare wasn’t the goal.

I still have my original Social Security card which has “Not To Be Used For Identification” printed on its face. In red. I used to politely decline disclosing my SSN. Now, even the veterinarians ask you for it. I once had a doctor’s office manager berate me for wanting to keep it private because she had all the patient records organized by SSN, and how dare I decline. Now you have to give date-of-birth, mother’s maiden name, and sometimes a “security question” or two, and you still have data breaches and identity theft.

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

The entire regime should be given the Ceaucsescu treatment. Also,on Christmas day. That would be a wonderful Christmas present for America!

A Proud Infidel®️™️

I remember hearing about it on the radio that day, “It is Christmas Day, and the Antichrist is dead, according to a statement from Romanian media,…”

How many of these do i need to buy to get in on this?

Cool!

The covers have been removed from the DC sewer, and it is being rightfully exposed.

OAM

I was wondering from whence that stench emanated

Jimbojszz

I’m starting to hear a swirling sound around that sewer, hopefully it’s sucking some of those toxic politicians out of DC.

Graybeard

I’m starting to think cash & carry will be the only way to go.
I know some things will have to be credit – but as much as possible cash will be better. For carry – something in size 9 mm or .45ACP would be just great.

Jimbojszz

Unfortunately the ATF has a list of every firearm sold. It’s FFL transactions, but they say it’s not tracking buyers! Only to make sure dealers are following the law. It just happens to contain the record of all firearms purchased and by whom. But it’s not a registration.
if your firearm is retained for any reason by the popo and you can’t show ownership/purchase then your not getting it back. So purchasing at gun shows is fine, make sure you don’t encounter any popo with it. I read an article about this and if this is not right let me know.

Grunt

Anyone who thinks that NICS transactions aren’t stored, indexed, and searchable forever is as naive as they come.

ANCRN

This is why I use cash for most purchases. Pulling out a wad of Franklins for big purchases gets some odd looks, but it’s worth the anonymity.

rgr769

Kind of ironic, isn’t it? They call Trump Hitler and those of us that support him Nazi’s, but then they employ the same kind of police state tactics as every dictatorship we have seen in the past 100 years.

Skivvy Stacker

I’m ready to cry…

I worked at Wells Fargo Bank in my hometown in Security for just about 7 years.

The only thing that saves MY soul is that this was between 1994 and 2001.

So…how many of these scumbags are going to end up in federal prison over all this shady shit? Well? We’re waiting…

Fauci needs to go first.

And #2…..

Unfortunately, this is only a meme and not reality….
