Man dies after he was shot multiple times during alleged North Side road rage incident, SAPD says
The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. in the 800 block of East Hildebrand Avenue
SAN ANTONIO – A 36-year-old man has died after he was shot multiple times during an alleged road rage incident, San Antonio police said.
Officers said they were dispatched to a shooting call around 12:30 p.m. in the 800 block of East Hildebrand Avenue near the San Antonio Zoo.
When they arrived, officers said they found the 36-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, shell casings and a car with a busted rear window.
After further investigation, police said that two men were involved in a road rage incident. At some point, the men pulled over on the northbound access road near U.S. Highway 281.
Authorities then said the man got out of his vehicle and began smashing multiple windows of the other car with a hammer. The window smashing prompted the other driver, a 25-year-old, to get out of his vehicle and fire a weapon at the 36-year-old man multiple times, SAPD said.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police say a Charleston man is dead after being shot early Thursday morning during a fight with his girlfriend.Charleston police detectives said Chrishawn Perkins, 32, was in a very heated argument with his girlfriend at another person’s residence on Grace Avenue where they had been invited for the night.
Police said the fight was over items that Perkins said his girlfriend had stolen from him.
Police said Perkins grabbed a gun and threatened to kill his girlfriend multiple times but was convinced by the woman and their acquaintance to put the gun down but eventually the argument started up again.
Charleston police said Perkins started attacking his girlfriend again and then started physically fighting the acquaintance.

“Why stop in the first place?”
Exactly. Nothing good will come of it. It’s great to think that maybe you can deescalate the situation, offer to go get a cup of coffee or a beer and talk things out, or otherwise come to a peaceful solution, but the fact of the matter is, road rage is unlike a lot of other confrontations. Put someone having a bad day behind the wheel of a large projectile weapon, add in some perceived slight by another driver, and suddenly your whole day can change. Road ragers feed off of each other, so the other driver might be having a good day, only to become enraged themselves when another driver cuts them off or brake checks them.
I give other drivers a lot of room and warning. No need to get all worked up on my daily commute or a nice relaxing weekend drive.
A big reason that I can see the first driver pulling off the road, is that the second car was bumping/ramming the first car, and the first car driver didn’t want to lose control and have a major accident on the highway involving multiple cars.
If the moron with the hammer bashing out the windows had a half a brain he would know that in Texas, you don’t get out of your car in a road rage incident as that makes you fair game to the other driver.
I almost had that happen to me as one guy got out of his car and came back bashing on my windows.
Fortunately cooler heads prevailed, I saw an escape that I took at a high rate of speed so the guy couldn’t make it back to his car in enough time to come back after me.
It was right then that I bought into the Texas Law Shield insurance company and have been a customer ever since.

Wonder how much rage Dumbass had when he discovered that taking a hammer to a gunfight wasn’t his smartest move? The fools on the road today are one of the many reasons why I don’t mind doing escort duty for Lady Friends.
