1 dead, 2 injured after suspected workplace incident turns deadly on Las Vegas valley road

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – One man is dead and two other men were injured after police said a possible workplace incident turned violent on a west Las Vegas valley road.It happened on Thursday shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of Cory Place near Charleston and Decatur boulevards.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, the incident took place when a man was conducting a remodeling job at home nearby on Dover Place. He told police his employee showed up to the home “in a condition unfit to do his job” and was then fired.
After the man was fired there was a verbal argument between the two. The man who had been fired then got into his vehicle and attempted to hit his boss by driving forward and then in reverse, and ended up hitting his boss with the rear side of the vehicle, police said.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police Lt. Jason Johansson, several witnesses came out to see what was happening, and one of the witnesses came armed with a gun. As the vehicle drove toward the armed man he fired shots and the vehicle then hit a wall, police said.

Yes indeed, it would count that way, Tox. This story could also be counted in the SPoTW Thread. Dumbass was not only in no condition to work, he was probably not in any condition to drive. He did manage to drive himself into an early grave so there is that.

Just for curiosity……has anyone ever done a ballistics comparison of the broomhandle Mauser 7.63×25 vs the 9×19 Lugar Parabellum?
All I know is that 7.63 ammo is quite pricey. Luckily, mine is 9mm.
Quick Wikipedia comparison says the Mauser is about 400fpe, and a practice 9×19 around 350-360fpr. Self-defense loads, +Ps, etc tend to run hotter and there are LOTS of 9mm loadings. Energy, due to the v-squared part, skew towards higher velocities. Theoretically a black powder .45-70 has half the energy of a .223, too. As someone famously put it, which do you want to get hit with – a supersonic phonograph needle or a well-thrown bowling ball?
