Man dead after argument over parking leads to self-defense shooting, Phoenix police say
PHOENIX— A man is dead after an argument led to a shooting in north Phoenix, and police say the shooter fired in self-defense.
It happened on Saturday night around 9:20 p.m. Phoenix police were called to a shooting near 27th Avenue and Beardsley Road. Officers arrived and detained a man who had a gun.
Another man, identified as 32-year-old Alejandro Samplina, was found on the ground in the parking lot. Samplina was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
According to police, Samplina and the shooter got into an argument over parking. Samplina then pulled out a knife and chased the man around his car.
This was when the man grabbed a gun from the open door of his vehicle. Police say Samplina continued to approach the man with the knife in a threatening manner, and that’s when the man fired his gun, hitting Samplina.

Let’s all squeak out a tear for poor Mr. Samplina. Thanks, Gun Bunny.
The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.

I got the same thing for poor Mr. Samplina that I have for tyrants…’specially Commiefornia tyrants…
Do they make those in silver?
Not seeing any in precious metals, but here’s the site.

Alejandro Samplina learned too late that there are no cuts when it comes to parking.
Knife<gun, most of the time. Parking ain’t worth it. If the lot’s packed, I park as far out as possible. If I go to the city, I find a pay for play lot and walk if I have to.
My future M&P-15 is still sitting in the vault, unfortunately. I missed the 10% off Father’s Day sale, but even with my normal discount, I’ll get it for a hair over $600 with tax. Sure, I’ve got the Ruger AR-556 MPR, but this is a carbine with a 16″ barrel (as opposed to the Ruger’s 18″ bbl), and it’s got a couple of aftermarket accessories, particularly an EOTech reflex sight (worth the price alone).
Those CA-compliant rifles are something else… the abominations they conjure up are reason enough to never move to, or even visit, the Golden State. Besides, I have a feeling that San Franciscans mix the state motto with their showers.
I like the ones with a .300BLK barrel and a hearing protection device on them a little better now.
I have even fallen for bigger is better and am thinking of one of the new 8.6BLK ones. Not sure if I need a bigger hearing protection device for it though. Though right now is supposed to be a great time to buy new ones.
“I have even fallen for bigger is better…” Spoken like a closet Cannon Cocker. You sure you haven’t snatched a lanyard…or at least wanted to? ‘Fess up, you’re among friends here. 😉
One thing that we must ALWAYS remember…
Fact check this one, meme knotzies!
Is that a Remington Nylon .22? A classic!
Phoenix, where the temperatures are hot, and the tempers hotter.
Mr Samplina wanted a sample of a high speed lead pill infusion. It didn’t agree with him. Tsk.
All around the parking lot space
The monkey chased the weasel
The monkey he did pull out a knife
POP! Shot the weasel.
I’ll leave the “knife to a gunfight” jokes and comments to KoB.
Having a bayonet on the end of one’s weapon is the ONLY way to take a knife to a gunfight.
What in the name of Aunt Sally is that bat wing sticking out the back of the pistol grip? Considering that it’s a Kali man-date, it can’t be functional.
Wifi antenna for uploading.
Stupid work around to the prohibition that the rifle isn’t legal if it has a pistol grip. Makes as much sense as feinstein sponsoring an AA meeting.
It’s a prototype SEAL weapon. Provides excellent lateral stability when swimming.
“Let’s all squeak out a tear for poor Mr. Samplina.”
Fuck no.
Sarcasm is just another service we offer, Senior. You know this.

Cassette Tapes, 8-Track and records. I like the sound of a needle on vinyl. Gives it a certain acoustic of being live.
Amen. FM radio was still “new” and they abused the hell out of anything that they thought was worth listening to.
I think that it was probably FM radio that really turned me off to media of just about any sort. The Waco siege was the end of it, for me. Turned off the TV and have never looked back
They should have “armed only” parking spaces.
Wow! So, Commiefornia made that AR-15 safe for the public by removing the bayonet stud, the flash suppressor, and put that paddle on the pistol grip. Plus to buy ammo for it, one has to pass a background check and pay $1 to the state. I am sure all those Cali gang bangers will comply; I can’t imagine any on them acquiring those illegal 30 round mags or ditching that paddle thing on the grip. People in da hood should feel much more secure.
Another potential felony has MS-13 quakin’ in their Adidas. /sarc
The “fin” on that Califonicaflower reminds me of an old Zappa song about “Mudsharks”.
Frank was a bit of jackass but was never at a loss for sarcasm. Maybe you can find one at the Edgewater Inn!
