According to the arrest report, the woman told deputies Smith was inside the house when she returned home. She said they had been arguing on and off since Friday.
The report states they started arguing again when Smith began to push and pull her off the couch. The woman went to her bedroom to get away from him, but Smith followed her.
According to the report, the woman said Smith picked up a glass candle holder and held it as if he was going to hit her with it. He then hit her once.
The woman told deputies she was in fear Smith was going to hit her with it again, according to the report. She then grabbed her gun from a bag by the bed and shot him once.

Shot placement was left unspecified, so let’s hope it’s nothing trivial.
2 people injured in overnight shooting at DeKalb County gas station plaza
LITHONIA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Two people were rushed to the hospital following a shooting overnight inside a DeKalb County eatery.
The Atlanta’s Best Wings shop is located inside a gas station plaza at 6647 Covington Highway in Lithonia. The store owner showed Atlanta News First’s Don Shipman surveillance video from inside the store when the shooting happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
In the video, you can see two customers inside the store when one of them opens fire on the other. The shooter then runs out of the building, while the victim slowly drags himself across the store floor to a corner of the room.
A few minutes later, the shooter returns, grabbing what appears to be a backpack from inside the store – and when he’s leaving the building, the shooting victim returns fire, injuring the shooter.
The storefront to the wing shop shows visible signs of gunfire. There are three bullet holes in the glass – busted out from the shootout.
“I didn’t know what was going on. I just thought the guy was on the ground drunk or something. You know what I mean,” said Mario Marshall, who attempted to walk into the plaza, but was told to leave. “One of the guys in the store told me to get out.”
There is no word on the condition of the two people who were shot.
DeKalb police investigators spent several hours processing the scene, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
One woman who stopped by the gas station on her way home from work overnight says she’s tired of the violence in her community.
“Frustrating. I mean this commnity, it happens over and over, and I live here. So, I don’t feel safe and it’s sad,” said Sheri Bratton.

I have witnessed spirited discussions over the merits of regional definitions of BBQ, but a gunfight over wings? Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Atlanta’s Best Wings is the new Waffle House? Who knew?
No conspiracy but a vast amount of chicken wings is BBQ worth dying for…or at least fighting for. The ATL is Chiraq South East. If one must travel thru ATL, particularly DeKalb County, take a re-enforced rifle squad with you and DO NOT stop for food, fuel, or rest breaks.
Woulda been good if the man hada stayed in his lane and not tried to beat up on Ms Thang…or even gooder if she hada shot the SOB on Friday when he FIRST started the argument.

Having one of them rocket round gunz would be a real blast.

Once again, “Dude, she’s just not that into you, but her boolit is,” comes to the forefront.
And yes, a description of caliber, shot placement, or, better yet, a DRT, would have been nice.
