Texas National Guard Soldier arrested for attempting to smuggle illegal alien

| April 5, 2024

Savion Amari Donovan Johnson, 26, was deployed to Eagle Pass for Operation Lone Star. However, instead of strictly doing his part to assist with controlling illegal immigration across the border, he “went to the dark side.” He apparently was promised $5,000 or $6,000 for the smuggle operation. He used a government vehicle for the task.

From American Military News:

According to NewsNation, Johnson had been deployed to Eagle Pass under Republican Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. The outlet reported that Johnson, who was allegedly promised $5,000 or $6,000 for smuggling the illegal immigrant, admitted that he had a weapon inside his government vehicle.

Following Sunday’s incident, Abbott Press Secretary Andrew Mahaleris told Fox News, “If the allegations are true, the accused is a traitor and criminal.”

“We have zero tolerance for Texans who violate laws that directly contradict the mission we are seeking to achieve,” the Abbott spokesman added. “The accused’s illegal smuggling may subject him to a mandatory minimum prison sentence of at least 10 years. He deserves more.”

Ali Bradley, a NewsNation correspondent, shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, showing law enforcement officers arresting and searching Johnson after Sunday’s vehicle chase.

Another SPoTW Thread candidate?

I guess the next picture we’ll see is this dumbass being featured in the Prison Bride of The Month issue.

Somebody’s a-gonna straighten his ass out while he’s in lockup ifyaknowhutimean. “Savion Amari Donovan Johnson”, hmmm, that name don’t sound very WASP to me, maybe part of his unit’s DEI?

Odie

What people won’t do for a buck or 2. The big question is, who was he transporting. Why was that individual worth this much money unless it was to thin out law enforcement thinner than what it was.

Makes you wonder what came across while eyes were focused over here instead of over there.

Hack Stone

If he is guilty of transporting illegal immigrants, he should be fast tracked for a senior position in Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security.

Army-Air Force Guy

Even though it’s a state crime he violated, I can still see the Dementia-in-Chief trying to pardon him.

I concur. Can we please return to the time when we used to hang traitors?

Odie

This please.

It isn’t a deployment until Joe has trafficked at least one human.
