Jeff Dennis Jewelry store owner speaks out after attempted robbery at store in Gardendale

GARDENDALE, Ala. (WBRC) – After an attempted robbery of Jeff Dennis Jewelry, Gardendale police now have the suspect in custody and are looking into her charges.Owner Jeff Dennis told WBRC that the event lasted less than 30 seconds, but once he realized what was happening, his fight or flight kicked in and he did everything he could to protect his store, his employees, and himself.
“I didn’t come to work yesterday expecting to take deadly force on somebody,” Dennis said.
However, as the suspect came in, Dennis said she started to spray bear spray at his employees, and he said he had to take matters into his own hands. “The threat was recognized immediately and neutralized before any damage could be done,” Dennis said.
After the suspect was shot, Dennis said the woman ran out of the store. However, officers were able to locate her in Birmingham later Wednesday night.
“I’m thankful that this woman will have a chance to turn her life around hopefully and I’m thankful we all went safely home,” Dennis said.
Dennis said he likes to be prepared, and yesterday, all those years of preparation and a good security system paid off.

3 shot, 1 fatally in exchange of gunfire in Humboldt Park: police
CHICAGO – One person was killed and two others were wounded in an exchange of gunfire in Humboldt Park on Saturday morning.
A 31-year-old man was outside in the 1600 block of North Hamlin Avenue at approximately 1:17 a.m. when two men approached him in a vehicle. The men in the vehicle began shooting.
The 31-year-old man, who is a CCL holder, returned fire, hitting both the men inside the vehicle. He was shot in the torso and transported to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
A 44-year-old man who was inside the vehicle was shot in the chest and pronounced dead on scene. The second occupant, a 37-year-old man, was shot in the shoulder and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition.

Those guns in the link show exactly how innovative Browning’s designs were. Some look like something from a sci-fi movie (and were very possibly used in some classics, considering the Mauser C96 became the Star Wars blaster), some look just plain steampunk, and few look like anything still produced today. Sure, the Borchardt essentially evolved into the Luger, but today’s guns look far more like the Browning M1900 and M1903 than they do any of those.

One thing these dumbasses don’t realize is when the popo comes they call in the entire Clan. And it pisses them off when you shoot one of theirs.
IMHO the grubermints (and civilians) that rejected these models didn’t do so because they didn’t work very well, but the damn things were as fugly as (GO) Army’s defence in the last two (2) minutes of yesterday’s hard fought battle against the Military’s Floating Artillery Service. It took HMS JMB (HBHN) to make something that not only worked but was downright beautiful to behold.

At this point, I think I need to do a search through the pages of VG/TAH and compilation of the T2NB2AGF, an actual print out. This thing is getting too unwieldy to just commit to a leaky memory.
Dats not only a good idea but also a good plan. My copy is very dogeared in addition to being unwieldy. Kinda marked up with notes in the margins and tic marks for repetitive violations of what not to bring. Might want to re-enforce the holes where the snap rings go too. You gonna collate alphabetically or by level of stupidity?
I was thinking by date, cross referenced alphabetically.
Also need to pull out a thumb drive, so I can save all info on it, as I work across computers at work and home.
