Bud Light paid $185,000 to Dylan Mulvaney for what turned out to be a disastrous marketing campaign. Hoping to get a good return on investment for that marketing campaign, Bud Light ended up losing millions of dollars. The company’s chief marketing officer had to step down, and a new marketing campaign had to be rolled out.

Steven Crowder revealed on Louder with Crowder on Thursday that beer brand Bud Light paid trans TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney $185,000 for a marketing campaign. That campaign cost the company millions of dollars as beer drinkers revolted against the ad campaign and took their dollars elsewhere.

“This is an exclusive that was sent to us and we identified,” Crowder said, bringing up a financial document showing that Mulvaney was paid $185,000. Crowder surmised that with numbers like those, Bud Light had likely been planning to consider the marketing partnership.
Bud Light lost some $390 million in the marketing disaster, and $6 billion in lost value. The chief marketing officer was forced to step down amid the controversy and heavy losses. The brand was forced to “spend heavily” on new marketing that did not feature trans influencers in an attempt to fix the beer’s image.

I have season tickets for football, and I have seen VERY FEW Bud Light cans at tailgates and in the stands. I have seen plenty of other INBEV/AB brands, but no blue cans.

The good news for AB is they didn’t lose any money on me! That’s cause I haven’t bought ANY of their products in decades. If I wanted to drink unrefined horse piss, I’d take my Grand Daughter to her riding stable and get all I wanted.
