Woman fatally shoots knife-wielding man in Morgan Park
CHICAGO – A woman fatally shot a knife-wielding man early Sunday in Morgan Park on the Far South Side.
The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. when a 41-year-old man who the woman knew approached her with a knife inside her home in the 11500 block of South Vincennes Avenue, Chicago police said.
The woman then pulled out a gun and shot the man four times in his torso, police said.

Nashville woman claims self-defense after fatally stabbing boyfriend, police say
After the stabbing, she called the police and helped take care of her boyfriend.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman is claiming she fatally stabbed her boyfriend in self-defense at Athens Way Apartment, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.According to police, 32-year-old Jerel Williams died of a stab wound to his chest during what his girlfriend said was an argument that turned physical inside her apartment.
Aimee Abrecht, 38, told detectives that Williams hit her in the face and strangled her, according to police. She also said he pointed a pistol at her, police said.
She called 911 around 5:45 a.m. after the stabbing and rendered aid to Williams when officers arrived.

I own a 1873, passed down from my grandfather, to my dad, then to me. Made in 1889. I plan on giving it to my son.
I wonder what the stories behind my 1892 (.38-40) and 1897 are. I got those (and the M1 Carbine) after my store bought a used gun collection consisting of over 50 guns, mostly sporting shotguns rifles. The collection had survived Katrina and other storms, and I couldn’t pass up on the guns I ended up with. One very good thing about the job is getting first dibs on guns.
So, no family history before me of my two Winchesters made in 1894 and 1899, respectively, but they’ll be handed down to my son.
