At that point in history, in a report to the delegates, Charles Thompson, the secretary of the Continental Congress, stated that the white in the flag “signifies purity and innocence,” the red “hardiness and valor” and the blue “signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice,” the same source chronicled. We lost that skirmish back then, but went on to win the war.

Hack Stone’s Uncle Jack on Mamma Stone’s side of the family, not to be confused with Uncle Jack on Pappa Stone’s side of the family, said that he served in the Air Force with Johnny Cash. Uncle Jack said he was just like every other GI. You never know how that one guy in the platoon will turn out in later life.
Sad state of affairs when the burning/desecration of Our Glorious National Symbol is considered “Free Speech”, but the burning/desecration of any other “flag” is considered to be “Hate Speech”.
