Now if the ex had only brought a hatchet the circle would be complete. Thanks again, Gun Bunny.
Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.

Mark Twain was a man ahead of his time. Today he would have his own talk show mocking the elites and politicians.
I would love to be a “fly on the wall” in Heaven, listening to Samuel Clemens, Will Rogers, and Rush Limbaugh together.
Seems that Mr Wright was in the wrong.
Dude, she’s just not that into you any more (and we all know the rest…..of the story)
Yep, Mr. Wright was wrong…dead wrong.
IIRC, hatchet is already listed in the TAH Famous Coffee Table Book of Things Not To Bring To A Gun Fight. These perps need to become more well read.
Sam’s Editorials WERE the Talk Shows of his time.
Result of illicit Carnal Congress betwixt a Glock and a 1911?
I was lloking at the pic thinking “What makes this original and different?” and got nothin’.
Tirade time! Actually, I’ll try to keep this short…
That PD10 looks like another niche “special design” made to impress those who don’t want something as vanilla as a Glock 43X or a SIG Sauer P365.
I own two Caniks, so-called “Glock Killers” by some, but they’ll never be a Glock. Despite hating those pistols for a long time, buying the Glock 17 Gen 5 and later the G45 MOS, showed me why they are the most popular service pistols for law enforcement. They are reliable, accurate, and perhaps most importantly, don’t break the bank. I like my M1911s, my Beretta M92F, and numerous other handguns, but I think I’ll wait a bit before buying the newest design by an up-and-coming company. Oh, and check the comments in the article for some humor.
Rhetorical question, what is the most important feature of a defense firearm?
That it goes “BOOM” into the bad guy as many times as needed. With reloads as necessary.
Years ago, I witnessed what happens when a person is pressured into carrying a certain gun they are not comfortable with. In this case, it was a smaller female with a Glock 27 (I believe) shooting her 50 rounds for the Virginia-mandated NRA Safety Course to get here Concealed Handgun Permit. So, subcompact? Not bad for a person of small stature. But the 27 is .40 S&W and has that double stack magazine making it a handful for anyone will smaller hands. She was unable to get a good grip on the gun and the recoil was a bit more than she was comfortable with, but her husband had selected that as the ideal gun for her.
I personally like my home defense shotguns to be pump action, with an empty chamber and the safety off. If I’m staying in a motel there’s one ready to go in the chamber, safety on. Defensive handguns are carried round chambered and, if equipped, manual safety off. Well, for obvious reasons the M1911 is an exception, but I don’t see the need to carry one of those nowadays.
Everyone is going to have their priorities. Concealability, capacity, how it feels in the hand, presence or lack of a manual safety, and even just plain sentiment, like the “Boomer Fudd” preference for the “Two World Wars” M1911. 😁
Never let your husband or boyfriend pick your carry gun…especially if they’re an idiot.
Yep, I rather like the reassurance my .44 brings me, and I find the recoil quite manageable. My wife would probably not care much for it.
I will say that having a knowledgeable friend or family member recommend a gun is a good thing. Back in the day, tip-barrel designs (mostly from Beretta and Taurus) were probably a good choice for people lacking a lot of grip strength. Now, there’s the S&W EZ series, Ruger Lite Rack, and other semiautos that offer fairly light slides. Of course, there’s always revolvers, but most double action trigger pulls will be difficult for someone who can’t chamber a round in a pistol.
