Sheriff: Homeowners shoots, kills man who crashed golf cart through his fence in far NE Harris County
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the homeowner confronted a suspicious man outside of his property and told him to leave.

HUFFMAN, Texas — A homeowner shot and killed a man who crashed a golf cart through his fence in Huffman, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.The sheriff’s office said the homeowner confronted a suspicious man around 8:30 p.m. Saturday who was in a golf cart outside his property on FM 2100 and told him to leave. The man proceeded to crash the golf cart through the homeowner’s fence. That’s when the sheriff said the homeowner grabbed a gun and shot the man.
When deputies arrived, they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene. According to HCSO Sgt. Sidney Miller, the man was confronted after the homeowner heard his dogs barking and saw the man sitting on some construction machinery in the street.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A home burglary early Sunday morning in Huntsville led to a man being shot at with non-life-threatening injuries, where he later fled the scene, per Huntsville Police.HPD officers say they initially responded to a home on Hewitt Street for a burglary call shortly before 1:20 a.m. Officers were then dispatched to 4000 University Drive, a Checkers fast-food restaurant, for a call of a gunshot victim.
Investigators determined Troy Shawntell Fletcher, 42, was burglarizing the residence when he was shot. He has been charged with domestic violence-burglary due to his relationship with the burglary victim, police say.
