Trying That In A Small Town
Enforcing existing laws doesn’t hurt either. Our suspect today apparently has been watching the media reports on the flagrant, unopposed theft occurring in urban environments and thought it was a Good Idea.
Georgia Target shoplifter caught red-handed, arrested after dramatic fight with police
The alleged shoplifter was caught leaving Target with a television
By Sarah Rumpf-Whitten | Fox News
A Georgia man, who was seen by Target employees stealing a TV, was caught red-handed after a police officer was waiting to arrest him at the store’s exit. The alleged shoplifter and the responding police officer engaged in a dramatic tussle in the store as well as in the parking lot.
The Atlanta Police Department said in a social media post that law enforcement was called in the evening to a local Target store on Monday, August 7 after the store called law enforcement after a man was stealing an expensive television.
When they arrived, officers followed the unnamed suspect from the store. When the suspect spotted the responding officer, officials say he ran.
Body camera footage released by police shows the officer catching up to the suspect just outside the store and the pair begin to fight.
“I don’t want to go to jail,” the suspect is heard wailing in the body camera footage. “I don’t want to go to f—— jail.”
OK, Atlanta isn’t a small town and certainly has its own share of issues- call it artistic license. It’s not Portland, San Franscisco or Chicago, either. Those who can have or are fleeing the places where the local government has abdicated the streets to thugs and prosecutes those who fight back. Downtown Portland has been described as a hollowed-out shell, major retailers are moving their flagship stores out of San Franscisco and Mayor Johnson objects to the term “mobs” a reporter used to describe Chicago’s summer teen riots.
A Navy Chief once gave me some needed stick and rudder- “AWANEd, the best way to avoid all that shit is to avoid all that shit.” Rudy Giuliani would agree, and it worked well in NYC back in his day.
This would also apply to our suspect’s desire not to become incarcerated, but I doubt he’d see the wisdom.

I got confused when the flying mattress appeared over them
while they were fighting on the ground at the 1:30 mark.
Took a while for me to realize it was something attached to the
windshield of the patrol car.
In any case, I would like see them try to steal one of the old
console color tv’s from the 50’s. They would need a forklift.
My grandma had one of those. 23″ color tv, am/fm record player, pretty damn good sound as I recall. All those amplifier tubes could heat a small house.
You don’t want to go to jail, eh? Well, there’s a way to prevent that, genius. DON’T STEAL SHIT!
It also didn’t help that he’s not a member of the “protected class”.
All those peeps standing around and not going to the Cops aid. Looking at those peeps I could see that they were not the same pigment color as myself. Perps used to hang out in front of a now defunct store selling the CRT TV’s for a cheap price and people used to buy them but the boxes were loaded with bricks. This was up in the Bronx NYC store in a shopping mall. We stopped there for our lunch break.
Yeah, everyone going about their business like it’s none of
“their” business. Exactly what the problem is today.
I think the store was Korvettes the TV swindle was at.
That would be E J Korvettes as in Eight Jewish Korean Vets. The young folks probably never heard of them.
Don’t steal if you don’t want to go to jail.
I think Tiny and Bubba are going to have a real good time with his punk ass
Is “I don’t want to go to jail” or “I need to go to the hospital” the new “I can’t breathe” the perps use now? Welp, he most probably went to both. I guess since there are no more statues to tear down in The Atl, or street names to change, that the “mostly peaceful demonstrations” will be held by the Buy Large Mansions crowds out at Stone Mountain Memorial Park. Oh…wait…the perp was a whyte dood and the popo were blaq. And this was the second TeeVee set he was stealing. No “mostly peacefully demonstration” for you!
If this hadda been in small town Georgia, good citizens woulda had hands full of perp instead of hands full of recording devices.
This story was in my queue for a FGS.
Thunder stolen but no jail time for the perp?
The headline in the story says it all…😆😅🤣😂
“APD: Shoplifter Suspect Gets Busted After Returning To Same Target To Steal Another TV”
https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2023/08/09/apd-shoplifter-suspect-gets-busted-after-returning-same-target-steal-another-tv/
“A man, who once got away with stealing a TV from Target, went back to the same store on Wednesday, leading to his arrest, the Atlanta Police Department says.”
“The incident happened at a Target store on Caroline Street NE after a Target security guard told police that “a suspect had stolen one television from the store and returned moments later to take another.”
“Please….help me Jesus!”
Jesus will not help you if you want to continue a life of crime.
Jesus will help you to SIN NO MORE.
If Jesus was there, he woulda beat your ass with his sandal in a manner reminiscent of every angry abuela.
And a knotted belt isn’t out of the question…
Again, the headline says it all…😂🤣😅😆
BTW, the Dude’s name is Seth Berman, 34 years old..
“Target Shoplifter Is Nabbed By Cops After He Stole $500 TV – Only To Return And Steal An Identical One: ‘Don’t Wanna F-King Go To Jail'”
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12393203/Target-shoplifter-nabbed-cops-stole-TV-return-steal-expensive-one-Dont-wanna-f-king-jail.html
“Dramatic footage has captured the moment a Target shoplifter was nabbed by cops after he stole a TV, only to return to steal a second one moments later.”
“Seth Berman, 34, was caught stealing from a Target in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday. Police say they believe he had been under the influence of drugs at the time.”
“Store workers flagged down a police officer after Berman brazenly returned following the first theft. The cop waited outside with security and approached the male as he exited the store with the second 65 inch LG TV.”
“Berman was charged with felony shoplifting and felony obstruction and is currently in Grady Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.”
We believe the Dudes name is Seth Daniel Berman, born around April 1989.
We are wondering if this is him that is mentioned in this 2011 Lawsuit:
“Lawsuit Targets Graffiti Artists”
https://www.ajc.com/news/local/lawsuit-targets-graffiti-artists/vRpEITQmaLj4szR9U6FRkM/
“The following people are named in the suit: Seth Berman, known as Sethafari…”
“MacDonald, Mobley and Jenkins Metal also are suing Berman’s business, Fat Cat Clothing…”
The culprit, Sean Daniel Berman, age 34.
Well, this dude looks to me like he’s healthy and able bodied enough to get a job. What’s his problem?
“What’s his problem?”
His parents??????
Dude was born in 1969…Millennial?
He was under the influence when he got arrested…
Drugs?
Just hope he and his family seek help for him…that he takes responsibilty for his own actions and gets some form of punishment…
Oh, Wait. I forgot.
We have a CINC who refuses to take any responsibilties for HIS own actions and blames others/projects about his own faults and failures.
And coddles his son.
Wait a minnit….Is that Hunter in blackface?
The culprit, Sean Daniel Berman, age 34.
He was under the influence of drugs.
Under the influence huh? So’s my grandma, but she don’t steal no tvs
Have this feeling his parents coddles him…
“My son can do no wrong!”
“My son is the smartest man on earth!”
“My son is the chip off the ole block!”
Until he was under the influence of a cop. Or under the cop.
We believe this is Sean Daniel Berman’s parents, Jennie Ashcraft Berman and Rick Berman:

Sean is discussed in this article.
We believe this is him with his Dad, Rick, when he was a toddler.
Sean was born in 1989.
Am running a test since the last 3/4 posts I made have come up “Awaiting For Approval.”
Why are all my posts about the culprit are awaiting approval?
It may be that you’re first comment’s link tripped the spam filter and the rest are duplicates?
Or something.
Probably because we are rooting for Army To Beat Navy??
😆😅🤣😂😉😎
Well of course, but besides that.
*grin*
😆😅🤣😂😉😎👍👍👍👌👌👌👏👏👏
Ya may be on to something, ninja. Putting (GO) Army commentors in mod jail is about the only way (BEAT) Navy can score. Could also be that our Beloved AW1Ed is so busy on his Technical Advisors gig on the Naval Documentary Series Part 3, “Top Cat, The Movie” that he is behind in approving comments. Then, again,…it could be for…reasons.
GABN/GABAF/RTR/HBTD!
KoB:
You and our beloved AW1Ed have us cracking us to the Max!
😂🤣😅😆
And Yep, it was time for the Field Artillery to come up on that durn DA FORM 6 Duty Roster…Don’t forget to eat chow tonite at those Messhalls that lack Army Cooks!
You Both Rock….

You’re It!
We just KNEW the Cable Dawgs, our Beloved Signal Corps, would provide a feedback!
KA-BOOM!
Thank You, SFC D…We still can’t stop laughing…
And now we know who will take KoB’s place after completion of that mission via that durn Duty Roster, DA FORM 6..

The 6 shop exists right up to the point they’re required in order to get COMSEC, a replacement part, or diag. That’s ok, I got my payback. ‘No shit, there I was’ INCOMING!: Camp Liberty at our BN HQ the commo weenies were standing there wondering why this generator was accelerating (musta tripped a breaker so their Xboxes stopped working and went out to investigate). I come ’round the corner knowing the fucker was running away so I yell at them to get the fuck away (they all had families and kids, I didn’t) one kid ran over as I just get the power supply disconnected. This gen is now SCREAMING and I know its a matter of seconds before the rods go so I kick him to knock him back behind the T-wall and forcefully point. At that point the flame coming out of the exhaust is getting visible again thru the smoke and I think to myself, “shit, rings are gone” just as oil starts to rain down all around me. I take a quick look to make sure they’re back far enough whip off my ACU top to try and smother the fucker and BAMN! She bricked. I calmly get my top back on and the their just arriving-NCO asks why I took of my top, “I was going to choke it, just like he deserves for putting himself in harms way AFTER I told him to back off”, pointing at his 90 lbs idiot. ….. I don’t know if it was because I kicked a Soldier or they wanted to be dicks, my section leader asked for a sworn statement so it read like this: The generator set (Serial number) entered a ‘runaway condition’. I attempted to stop it by any means necessary. —-nothing follows—- After a couple days he comes back, clearly speaking for someone else, that the statement was ‘unacceptable’. I knew what was going on so I told him that unless I spoke to JAG there was nothing more that I could offer in the way of information. I’d kick him harder given… Read more »
Had to be data dinks. Cable Dawgs or transmission guys would’ve backed off and started a betting pool on how long till it seized or exploded.
Most of our competent 6ers were out at COPs and FOBs, so checks out?
Just did want anyone getting hurt and in spite of the fact it was T-walled in what goes up…
Luckily all the chucks were less than golf ball size and most stayed in the case.
Sounds pretty damn plausible!
Another doggy heard from.
Yet, Navy lost to them.
Woof woof!
The pattern is full, Ghostrider!
This is the thief with his father. Rick Berman.
Article about the thiefs parents.

And now he gets a front row seat to his sons trial.
Perhaps someone will take dad out back and show him some discipline, what he should have shown to his son years ago.

The thief’s father’s resume.
Pretty impressive.

We now think why the thief did not want to go to jail. His parents would have to bail im out.
He was under the influence of drugs.
Aspirin don’t count…
E.Conboy,
He had a Bayer on his back.
Alice Cooper – Aspirin Damage
Believe it or not, the more we dig into the thief’s background, the more we know that there must be some kind of brain hiccup with Sean…
Or he was on some pretty bad drugs…Which goes back to that brain hiccup…
Or he may be the only child…or has been pampered thriughout life (Think Hunter Biden..)
His parents may be able to afford him a good lawyer and have his felony charges reduced. Most likely, he will be referred to seek mental health treatment as well as drug use.
Time Will Tell.
Well bless his little heart.
Uh, No.

I had to laugh at the guy moving carts back to the store. He just kept on with his job while the officer and perp are fighting in the street right in front of the door. No concern, maybe it’s just another day at work for him.
“I don’t want to go to jail.” Beretta had all the answers. https://youtu.be/5HNWhVXcjV8
All right look guys, one more time. He wasn’t stealing TV’s to give to the poor or set up a rad entertainment system or pay for his kid’s cancer treatments.
People commit crimes because they are on drugs. Alcohol is of course a drug. They steal things to trade or sell for more drugs. They act insane in public or assault people because they are on drugs.
For all practical purposes, every crime committed in the US, which is to say about 98%, the offender takes mind/ mood altering drugs. This includes sex crimes, murder, school shootings, shoplifting, robbery, DUI, bank fraud, every… single… crime.
The number of people who commit crimes who aren’t on any drugs at all in the US would fit inside a small football stadium. It happens, but you may as well be hunting unicorns.
People on drugs mostly don’t have jobs. Even if they somehow managed to show up to work at all they would be high and insanely dangerous to work with. There are a few with a managed drug problem that can get by most of the day without drugs and they tend to be terribly unreliable and go from job to job tend to perform poorly and scrape by. But mostly not.
Anybody want to bet that Target won’t press charges?
