SanFran Nan chimes in
Nancy Pelosi’s at it again. Oh joy.
Pelosi said on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki” that there “certainly should be term limits” for the justices.
“Here we have a body … chosen for life. Never have to run for office. Nominated, confirmed for life, with no accountability for their ethics behavior,” Pelosi said.
This is a politician, a skillful speaker with years of practice.. at telling lies. “No accountability for their ethics behavior” – better tell that to Samuel Chase, impeached (but acquitted) in 1805. Not many have had that problem, but given the selection and confirmation process, the fact that one has been, says that there is a process in place.
But Nan doesn’t stop there:
“If nothing else, there should be some ethical rules that would be followed,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi said on MSNBC that it’s “shameful” how Thomas and Alito “have been so cavalier about their violations of what would be expected of a justice of the Supreme Court.” She added of the approval rating that “30 percent seems high.”
The former Speaker was less definitive about possible expansion of the court, but said it’s “a discussion.”
“It’s been over 150 years since we’ve had an expansion of the court. It was in the time of Lincoln that it went up to nine, so the subject of whether that should happen is a discussion — it’s not, say, a rallying cry, but it’s a discussion,” Pelosi said.
From what I read, the Justices do have an ethical standards set, and the major question is whether it was violated or if it is stringent enough, not whether it exists. Give ’em credit, they use the same playbook – if you can’t win honestly under a system, change the system to one which will always guarantee victory. At least she and Biden are on the same page – he constantly claims the gun industry has no accountability and can’t be sued.
And then there’s what should be Rodney’s take on it: Rodney

I listen to Sloe Gin Nan about as much as I listen to upChuck Shumer, Hellary, and Brain Dead Biden.
I can never understand what she’s saying because of the
Rice-a-Roni jingle playing in the background every time I see her mug.
Do they still have those trolleys or are they now all been turned into homeless shelters?
I always think of the Vietnamese bands. If you go Sahfraceesco be sure wear frower in hair.
Rolling outhouses, for those too shy to shit in the street.
Nancy is the Edith Bunker of the House of Representatives… minus the integrity.
Well now, Ms. Pelosi and her husband became incredibly wealthy due to some amazingly coincidental and astute investments while she was immune to prosecution for insider trading as a legislator…but no doubt such a person as that has a complete handle on the meaning of the words ethics and honesty.
If only we got rid of legislators and judges who had the mere appearance of a conflict…of course we’d need 544 new faces to fill the SCOTUS, House, and Senate openings…
All of SCOTUS is somewhat suspect today as are the vast majority of the House, Senate, and Oval Office when it comes to the appearance of a conflict of interest.
But we the people, like Ms. Pelosi herself, only consider those on the other side of the aisle to be corrupt or unethical. It’s an interesting self-inflicted blindness to the flaws of those we like and we vote accordingly.
As long as we the people are willing to overlook the mote in our own eye it’s a safe bet nothing changes and political gridlock based on win at all costs will remain the norm for quite some time to come.
…. said the poster
childgranny for Congressional term limits. This bitch wouldn’t know what ethics were if it hit her with a hammer. The epitome of grift and corruption and learned her lessons well from her daddy. ESAD…soon! Her husband knows a little bit about hammers…and she knows a LOT about getting hammered.
Speaking of hammer. Isnt it amazing how that whole circus just died away……..
I’m sure Paul is busy celebrating Pride.
Hopefully he has learned his lesson about what he leaves sitting around whilst entertaining rough trade rent boys.
Who’s the Captain of this ship?
Say it! Say my name!
I see her complaint. The approval rate of Congress right now is 16%, so she is jelly since they are twice as popular. The only way to make them less popular is to make more of them.
However, I think she was a freshman senator in 1937 when Roosevelt tried to pack the Supreme Court for exactly the same reason. The reason being to get an unconstitutional liberal agenda passed. Button will have to do it the same way. He can serve four terms and appoint eight justices to the bench. All they need is a constitutional amendment.
New hairdo?
26L,
She has the Jane Jetson machine.
Thats her 3rd grade graduation photo.
They didn’t get their way with the nominations and confirmations.
They didn’t get to pack the court by increasing the number of justices.
Now they are smearing every conservative justice in the MSM in hopes of forcing them out or getting them charged with some crime so they can be replaced with justices they approve of.
And now she want’s “term limits” on the SCOTUS?
Hey, remember that time Pelosi’s husband got bashed with a hammer by his naked gay lover?
Yeah….fun times.
Says the career politician who gets reelected time and again. SCOTUS Justices may not have to run for election, but Peelossee and many of her friends in Congress only have a token election every couple of years, with full confidence they’ll be reelected. Some junior Representatives lose reelection bids, but after the first couple of wins, they’re essentially in Congress for life. When there’s an upset, we hear about it, not because so-and-so won, but because the incumbent lost.
This beacon of ethics has been in office for 36 years and is in her 80s. Seems like she was “chosen for life” back in ’87, albeit with the inconvenience of having to campaign every couple of years for the inevitable reelection.
The court shouldn’t be expanded; doing so will only serve to make it even more political. Biden will nominate the first openly gay trans-plant immigrant zey/zhim of color. If Trump (or any Republican) wins next year, their nominees will reflect their political stance.
If anything, there should be term limits for all branches of government. The Executive Branch has them, so why not the Legislative and Judicial. Start with Congress, then maybe get to SCOTUS.
Irony, pelosi talking about ethics. As if she had any idea about what that word means.
Clayface dares to bloviate about “ethics” after enriching herself through insider trading?
Fuck off, Nan.
I’m a bad person for this, but behold myne field…
I’ve never rooted so hard for osteoporosis and a slippery bathtub.
OMG, have some pity for the poor first responders that would have to see that!!!
They knew what they were signing up for…
Whenever I think life is bad, Pappy, I remember that SanFranNan and Bitcherly both have an Ob/Gyn Doctor. How’d ya like to have THAT job?
This whole article is just too funny. San Fran Nan talking about ethics, term limits for thee but not for me, etc.
… Until, of course, a couple of their appointees come up against those limits under a Republican administration, at which point they’ll be screaming about the wisdom of the Founding Fathers with lifetime appointments….
That is about the only reason some of this crap proposed by socialist dems does not go forward. A few of the more rational socialist dems realize that one day they will be in the minority, and these things could then be used against them. Like the so called Nuclear option in congress.
I thought after she lost the gavel she’d take her toys and go home. Guess she’s not through padding the offshore accounts.
Speaking of low poll numbers, so glad Nan brought that up, The Happy Hooker who went to Washington, set a new low in polling history for the vice president spot.
Pot, this is kettle. Kettle, I’d like to introduce you to pot.
Let’s start CONSIDER term limits fir justices, right after we set them for Reps and senators!
Bunch of typos, but y’all get it!
A lifetime political hack complaining about the alleged lack of ethics of judges.
Chutzpah;
