Boy uses slingshot to shoot 17-year-old trying to kidnap his sister, Michigan cops say

Kaitlyn Alanis
An 8-year-old girl was hunting for mushrooms in her backyard when someone popped out from the nearby woods, according to Michigan State Police.

The 17-year-old male then grabbed onto the girl, holding her mouth shut, “before a struggle ensued” on Wednesday, May 10, police said.

The girl’s 13-year-old brother saw the attack before his younger sister was able to break free, according to a May 12 news release.

Her brother used his slingshot to shoot the attacker, hitting him in his head and chest, police said.

Michigan State Police troopers from the Alpena Post were called to the home in Alpena Township for an attempted kidnapping, authorities said.

“A description of the suspect was aired, and a family member observed the suspect matching the description fleeing the area,” police said. “Alpena Post Troopers canvassed the area and were able to locate the suspect hiding at a nearby gas station.”

The 17-year-old “had obvious signs of injury sustained from the slingshot with wounds to his head and chest,” authorities said.

Good shooting, Big Bro.
Little Sis has a hero.
If Big Bro is that good with a slingshot, just think what he’d be like with a gun.

Of course, the perp is complaining “UNFAIR!”.
And the Libtards will monkey hoot about registering, locking up, and confiscating slingshots.

Lot more of the minor attracting persons seem to be out there these days. Wonder if there is a correlation between public schools?

I’d love to bring home Sister Golden Hair, but my wife would kick us both to the curb.
So I’ll leave her for Gun Bunny to lay claim to, take home, feed and fatten up.
She looks like she’d do well defending the North Wall.

You know me too well, Tox. Today’s gun pr0n is the epitome of the solid frame, sleek chassis, and the come hither, caress me look that we’d all like to have around. The rifle is nice too. Would making her with child be considered “fattening her up” or do I need to put on a pot of chicken ‘n dumplins’ and a pan of cornbread dressing FIRST?

Bring any and every weapon to bear. Cries for common sense slingshot control laws in 5.4.3… A young lad called David had no comment…neither did a dude named Goliath.

A Bay-Rhetta critiqued by a Glock Fan Gurl…what could go wrong? *sigh*

Had one of those Wamo/Whamo or however they spell it Wrist Rockets, many decades ago. It was very accurate and powerful, even with acorns for ammo but rocks, bolts, nuts or best of all, the steel balls could kill small game.

Does anyone know where Joe Biden was at the reported time of the event?

Sniffy Joe will invite the poor mistreated 17 year old to the White House for further training on the proper ways to sniff young girls.

Ancient slingers (Rome actually had organized units armed with slings) used to mark their bullets. There’s a famous lead bullet from Ancient Greece inscribed “DEXAI” – “Catch!”

I recall an article from the Journal of Asian Martial Arts that studied lethality of sling stones and found they could compare to a .44 magnum. Piercing helms and skulls, together.

Granted, there’s a difference between a sling and a slingshot. The young hero in this case was likely using the Bart Simpson type – not nearly as deadly, but clearly effective.

Bravo Zulu, young man. Here’s hoping you continue to do right by your younger sister… the wolves don’t stop hunting just because the sheepdog chases one off, and some are cleverer than others.

Can we start a charity? At 13, he’s well old enough for a rifle. Let’s put one in his hands and get him some range time (and all the ammo he wants). Some lessons, too, if his dad doesn’t have the time or familiarity.
