Dems: AOC funds hand-gluers, Omar & Co. want all free meals for students – but wait!

| May 13, 2023

AOC, aka Occasional Cortex, is in the news again. Seems her campaign PAC is funneling thousands of dollars to what most would describe as questionable ends:

Courage to Change, the New York Democrat’s PAC, directed a $9,000 donation to the Los Angeles-based Climate Emergency Fund (CEF) in the fall of 2021, according to federal filings.

“We’re in this kind of surreal situation in which scientists are telling us this is the point of no return,” Margaret Klein Salamon, CEF’s executive director, previously said in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.

“So these activists intervene and they say, ‘Things are not normal. They’re so bad that I’m gonna do this crazy thing and glue myself to a painting or a frame,'” Salamon continued. “It only makes sense because of how absolutely terrible the climate emergency is.” Fox News via Yahoo

Wouldn’t it be nice if someone would quit wasting glue on their hands and aimed at her jaws instead…

Not to be outdone, dozens of Democrats are proposing free meals at school – ALL of them, breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner – to all kids in school.

Dozens of Democrats in the House and Senate proposed legislation this week that would give all students from pre-school through high school three free meals a day plus a snack regardless of income, a move they said is needed to cope with the “record numbers” of American kids who are struggling with hunger.

“It is an international embarrassment that today, in the richest country in the history of the world, we are seeing record numbers of children and youth struggling with hunger on a daily basis,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT., the sponsor of the Senate legislation.

“Universal school meals is not just commonsense policy; it is also extremely popular,” said Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., the lead sponsor of the bill in the House.  Fox News via Yahoo II

I’m sure it is popular…more free stuff!  ‘Cuz, you know  food is free, and volunteers are thronging to work at school cafeterias. Must be for the prestige of it.

And just because we can’t ever seem to get a three-fer break, here we have Democratic Representative Abigail Spanberger talking common sense. I HATE it when they do that! Ruins the consistency of idiocy I expect…

“If the American people and the American economy are suffering as a result of congressional inaction, then members of Congress should not be rewarded with their pay,” Spanberger, 43, wrote in a letter to Congress’s chief administrative officer. Reuters via Yahoo

Based  on their performance, I’d think we should agree on the top 10 issues they keep kicking down the road, and pay them incrementally when they do get an issue addressed – 10% for the deficit,  10% for the border crisis, etc. until they get them all sorted. Or until they quit – I’m good with either.

Oh yeah – said deficit is going up faster than my blood pressure.

The latest release from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office puts it in stark terms. In just the first seven months of fiscal 2023, the federal budget deficit reached almost $1 trillion — a 63% increase from the $568 billion deficit recorded in the first seven months of fiscal 2022. And if not for a few timing quirks that pushed payments for this fiscal year back into the last, the deficit increase would have actually reached 74% from fiscal 2022 to 2023.  Washington Examiner

Think of that…almost  trillion a year. Remember when everyone screamed when the deficit hit one trillion total?

I wouldn’t want my kids to have that free lunch. They always packed a lunch because the stuff at school looked like garbage. They still grew up big and strong and smart. Just a guess but once the lunch is free… Grasshoppers.

I remember that when NYS started the first lottery, they said that the money was going to schools. and some where else but I don’t remember who the some where else was.

Pretty much EVERY State campaigned on getting a lottery saying “it’s for the Kids’ education” basically saying that it would fund schools and of course the money went elsewhere.

Fyrfighter

With logic based ( and RAAAYYYYCISSSS ) statements like that, Spanberg doesn’t look like she has a long career with the Dems..

Also Old Cotex should be sent to a glue factory. She really is a nag.

She’s got the teeth for it…

Crop yields up.

Much more forest than 400 years ago.

Greater habitability.

Greater global prosperity.

Yeah. Real crisis for Marxism.

Anyone remember actual pictures of these school lunches from years past? In a LOT of D-rat run locales the kids get the cheapest stuff the Contractors can find while they get fat and give the pols their kickbacks for the contracts.

AS TO the hand-gluers, I still LOVE what VW did to them over there, that ought to happen more often and if they did that crap around where I live, I’m sure there would be plenty of Locals “accidentally” tripping over them resulting in shiners among other things.

Honestly, nutraloaf would have been a step up from the school lunches I remember.

The school lunches I remember were not bad; hot entree, vegetable, starch, and desert(?). I see pictures allegedly of today’s school lunches and think either someone is lying or someone belongs in jail. It ain’t rocket science.

Of course back in the ’50s and ’60s someone actually cooked the food on site; no central kitchen premanufactured processed and prepackaged “meals”.

Like MRE’S for kiddies?

Just another wedge for the lefties to drive between parents and children, making the parents less essential to the wellbeing of their children while reducing the dependency of children on their parents.

There is no more basic parental duty in all of nature than parents feeding their offspring and no dependent need of offspring that is greater.

The bastards are really going after the core family.

Classic Democrat Marxism… 😡 😠 😡

P.S. Well, it’s not /sarc for them; they’re actually into that.

Sadly, this is nothing new.. They started it with the black community, and have been ridiculously successful, ever since LBJ and his scheme to ensure black democrat votes. In 1968, only 22% of black kids were raised in single parent homes. In 2015, that number was 66% or better.
This destruction of the black nuclear family did exactly as intended, securing a solid voting block for the democrats by making them dependent on the govt. With that success in mind, they are now moving on to targeting all races, since they have spent the last 50 yrs destroying morals, and promoting hedonism and a self centered world view.

The late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan was right.

USMC Steve

Of course, most of the blacks willingly and enthusiastically went along with it too. And still do apparently. The socialist democrats have always hated the blacks, and demonstrated it in their actions, such as their non support of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Yet old LBJ managed to pull a win out of that one, even though he fought it tooth and nail.

one Marx to find them,
One Marx to bring them all

Abigail Spanberger is an infufferable lying scrunt. She’ll say anything to get noticed.

USMC Steve

And of course if you look at just about every member of congress they don’t NEED that money to live, they are getting enough bribes and funds from insider trading to make ends meet.
