St. Charles County police officer fatally shoots man in Weldon Spring

A St. Charles County police officer shot and killed a man who authorities say pulled a gun after running from officers early Monday.

Tracy E. Hayes was shot about 12:30 a.m. on Siedentop Road, north of Technology Drive West, in the Weldon Spring area. Hayes, 40, lived in the Harvester area of St. Charles County.

The scene was less than a half-mile from the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Troop C headquarters, near Highway 94 and Highway 40 (Interstate 64).

Cpl. Barry Bayles of the St. Charles County Police Department said two police officers were sitting in police cars in a parking lot, in a largely isolated area, when a car pulled alongside one of the police cars.

The car, with two men inside, had just left the lot of a business that was closed and had no night shift. Hayes was in the passenger seat.

The driver asked one of the officers for directions, Bayles said, and the officers walked over to talk with the men.

A few minutes later, Hayes jumped out of the car and ran off, Bayles said.

From Mr. Hayes’ prison photo I understand why the LEOs wanted a chat.

Atlanta police shoots unruly man near Greyhound bus station
The man was not a ticketed passenger, refused to leave the GA Greyhound station

A man was shot and wounded by an Atlanta police officer near the Greyhound bus station in the city’s downtown early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The gunfire happened around 4:40 a.m., police said in a preliminary statement.

Officers were working an off-duty job in the area when Greyhound security workers notified them about an unruly man who was refusing to leave the Greyhound station property, police said. Officers approached the man and he pulled out a handgun and fired at them. Police say an officer returned fire, and that the man was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.

Mr. Hayes’ criminal career came to a dead stop.

Nutjob in the ATL shoulda found a way to cut a trail. He missed the bus.

The despotic domestic enemies of our Republic have taken Mr. Stalin’s words to heart. Here’s an idea for them…Molon Labe, mofos.

My Hawken Big .50, double trigger, percussion cap, repro occupies a place of Honor over wing wiper brother’s mantel in western South Dakota. The .36 flintlock is over the doorway in my quarters. Both are accurate as all hell and fun to shoot. Pro tip on them double triggers. Once it’s set, don’t breath on it. It will go BOOM with very little pressure.

You wanna see one of the finest collections of “guns that won the West” go visit the Fur Traders Museum just east of Chadron, NE on US Hwy 20. US 20 is aka The Medal of Honor Highway, the longest road in the US at 3365 miles. Well worth the trip. While you’re out that way, check out Fort Robinson, NE. You’ll be glad you did.

Jay Inslee says Hawken rifles only kill babies.

Go ahead and add hammer and chisel to things ill suited for a gun fight. Hammer was already there I believe, but having a chisel in the other hand is just as useless.

The Hawkins (and all other “Kentucky”/Pennsylvania) rifles….things of steel, wood, graceful lines and beauty.
And they also shoot damned good too.

And if somebody shoots you with one of them, you STAY shooted by one of them.

Well, Tracy E. Hayes is not the most tatted convict I’ve seen, but not a smart fellow either.
I suspect that knowing he was a felon in possession, his anxiety went through the roof & he panicked. I’ve seen that before in inmates.

Grayhound bus terminals don’t always attract the most reputable of clientele. Glad no one else was hurt.

I love a good Hawkins, as well as Kentucky rifles. Beautiful works of art that shoot very very well.

From the news article: “Charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, Hayes pleaded guilty in Lincoln County in December 2021, and Judge Milan Berry sentenced him to four years in prison. Berry, however, suspended imposition of the sentence and put Hayes on five years’ probation instead, according to online court records.”
Just think. That judge could have saved this poor mope’s life if he had done the right thing and put him in jail. Oh, the vagaries of life…turn one corner and you find a treasure, turn another one, and you fall into an open man hole and die. Que sera sera, what goes around comes around, you just never know what lies over the horizon, and don’t run from the Po-Po when you have face tattoos, you moron.
