Happy Easter! If you still have snow on the ground and have not colored the eggs, hiding the Easter eggs without painting them might be an option. Enjoy the balance of your weekend!

Christ has risen.
He will come again.
JESUS IS RISEN
He put us First when He made His Ultimate Sacrifice.
Amen.
Happiest Easter to you and yours, and to all y’all as well.
Love you, Brother.
His Blessings be upon you and all of the others that are “captured behind enemy lines”. Much Love to you and yours too, My Brother.
Happy Easter and may all of you be blessed this Sunday.
When Jesus sat at Jacob’s well, he offered a woman water that, if she drinks from it, she would not go thirsty. The woman questions how he could do that, he did not even have what was needed to take water from that well. But Jesus was talking about another type of well and water.
To place this in context, Jacob, in the Old Testament, moved the stone covering the well so that his uncle’s sheep could have water. A shepherd is used as a symbol as a leader in the Bible, and the sheep is used as a symbol for the leader’s followers.
Water is a symbol of God’s divine wisdom, which is what Jesus was offering the woman and to others. Jacob was one of Jesus’s ancestors. He was not talking about the well he was at, but another kind of well… Him. The water was divine wisdom.
This leads to the day of his resurrection, when his disciples found the stone covering, covering his grave, moved, and Jesus not present in the grave… Jesus, God’s law, offer life, not death. They came expecting to find death, but they found life instead. Seeking divine wisdom is seeking eternal life.
The stone covering the bottomless well was moved, and the “sheep,” humanity, can now drink and not go thirsty. The grave itself became a symbol of the bottomless well. The stone was moved to symbolize the readily available water (divine wisdom) that Jesus unleashed.
…Not an effort to convert anyone, just explaining some of the metaphors, allegories, symbols, etc. 🌞 😀
Christ is Risen indeed!
Our Sunday School lesson today (John 20:1-18) examined how Peter and John saw (3 different Greek words used – looked, looked with contemplation, looked with understanding) the evidence and believed.
It also examined how Mary Magdalene, from whom seven demons had been driven out by Jesus, was overcome with grief and emotion to the point where she could not break through to joy even when two angels spoke with her; only when Jesus called her name in her grief and she realized she was truly safe from ever being demon possessed again.
The Resurrection offers evidence, assurance, and joy.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heav’nly host.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
Before he rose there was business in the basement needing tending to, (3 days in the grave, that number 3 again) “Reversing Hermon” by Hebrew scholar Michael S. Heiser deep dives into what took place and with lots of footnotes too. Dr. Heiser has passed on to the Unseen Realm this past Feb. but his scholarly works are well worth the view and rabbit trails of knowledge in the word.
Risen Indeed!
This almost makes ol” Poe believe in the Easter Bunny:
Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal Hospitalized After Breaking Leg | The Gateway Pundit | by Cristina Laila
To think I was less than 10 miles away and missed it!
The local journo rag clapped like trained seals to ensure everyfreakingbody knows he finished the parade.
Musta learned that kind of tenacity in RVN, or was it temerity in DC as a sergeant-in-name-only, I forgot.
Dan Bernath spent more time in Vietnam that Richard Blumenthal did, ditto Jane Fonda.
Some good news out of Texas:

Gov. Abbot is trying to pardon Sgt. Daniel Perry before this travesty of a conviction can get much further.
And yet still more happy Easter news:

How not to appeal to one’s market.
Welp, now Buttwiper Light truly is only useful for wiping ones ass after dropping a deuce.
A joyous and peaceful Easter Sunday to all my friends on This Ain’t Hell.
“The Easter Song” performed by Matthew Ward.
“The Easter Song” was written in 1974 by Annie Herring of the Jesus Music Group “The 2nd Chapter of Acts” that tells of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection and the elation Christians feel about His Resurrection on Easter.
Matthew Ward is Annie Herring’s Brother and was a part of the Trio group The 2nd Chapter Of Acts”. He re-performed this song in 2013 in the Colorado mountains.
What a powerful new arrangement.
Please Enjoy. We Did. He Has Risen!
Hear the bells ringing
They’re singing that you can be born again
Hear the bells ringing
They’re singing Christ is risen from the dead
The angel up on the tombstone
Said He has risen, just as He said
Quickly now, go tell his disciples
That Jesus Christ is no longer dead
Joy to the word, He has risen, Hallelujah!
He’s risen, Hallelujah!
He’s risen, Hallelujah!
I remember the original (and 2nd Chapter of Acts) as well as this remake.
Still a joyous anthem! Makes my old Jesus Freak heart throb with joy.
Thank You so much for sharing, Graybeard and for being a blessing to our TAH Family!
“The Easter Song” IS a Joyous Anthem!!
We STILL raise our hands when we hear this song!
Thoughts and Prayers for your wonderful Family to include Mrs. Graybeard and your Brother!
STSC(SW/SS) nailed it on the comment “He will come again”.
