HPD: Security guard shoots 2 people, killing 1 in W Houston
Houston police said three security guards were kicking two men out of El Karma Bar & Lounge after an argument inside.

HOUSTON — At least one person is dead after a security guard opened fire outside a nightclub in west Houston Monday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.This happened at 5:40 a.m. outside of El Karma Bar & Lounge on South Gessner near the Westpark Tollway.
Police said three security guards were escorting two patrons who were said to be heavily intoxicated. One of the patrons had what appeared to be a weapon that they pulled out.
That’s when two security guards started shooting.
“We have recovered one weapon on scene. It’s not a real firearm. It’s not real. It looks like a replica, but it is not a functioning firearm,” HPD Sgt. Bill Elsbury said.

Home invasion suspects fatally shot by resident at Garland apartment, police say

GARLAND, Texas – Police said two home intruders were shot and killed by a resident of a Garland apartment complex after he said they forced their way into his apartment early Saturday morning and shot at him.This happened just after 2:30 a.m., when Garland PD officers were called about a burglary with shots fired at the Woodlands at the Preserve apartments, in the 4300 block of North Garland Avenue.
Multiple residents woke up to the sound of gunshots.

Whenever the victim to a home invasion is armed with a gun the odds sweep around to dramatically in their favor. At the very least the perps run away, often with bleedy holes, or end up dead. Numbers don’t seem to help the perps much.
The bar is still open at 05:45, when many people waking up to start a new day and a new week?

In a shocking investigative report CNN has uncovered that when you release violent offenders on bail they go and commit more violent crimes. I know this flies in the face of the science but there you have it.
