So slow Fox has broken the stunning news that sharks lack the courtesy to avoid beaches frequented by non-marine mammals. People, in other words. This revelation was exposed via drone video while over a beach at Oz.

Sam Wood captured the video at Hillarys Dog Beach on Dec. 28. He said he was filming about a half-mile away and immediately called officials to inform them of the shark spotting.

HILLARYS, Australia – A tiger shark was seen swimming within feet of unsuspecting beachgoers with their dogs in Western Australia.
Drone footage posted online Monday showed the outline of the enormous fish close to the shore of Hillarys outside Perth.
Sam Wood captured the video at Hillary’s Dog Beach on Dec. 28 and shared it on his Wanderlust Flyer Instagram account.
Let’s get past Hillary’s Dog Beach first, then consider: The breathless hyperbole is laughable. The Galeocerdo cuvier in question moseyed over, found the human monumentally disinteresting and lazily departed. Other scenes from the video show similar non-event encounters. Are you sitting down? These happen All. The. Time. We would ‘show the flag’ in our helo over summer-time Atlantic coast beaches from Maine to the Keys, my door open and in the gunner’s belt. I would wave at the beach bunnies and count all the sharks in between swimmers. There were a lot of sharks.

Speaking of sharks, two weeks from today is the fifth anniversary of the death of everyone’s favorite Not An Honorary Chief Petty Officer, Daniel Bernath. The man made a lasting impression in Bonita Springs Florida. There was supposed to be a flyover tribute during his funeral service, but all of the aircraft crashed when they ran out of fuel.
