Twitter + Pentagon = Information Ops

| December 22, 2022

On the surface, this seemed implausible. However, the more I thought about it, it made sense. Maybe a better term than ‘made sense’ would be that it was ‘plausible’ if not ‘understandable.’

Twitter colluded with Pentagon to run network of fake accounts around the world – including AI-created deep fakes – despite publicly claiming to delete government backed propaganda

  • Twitter worked with the Pentagon to promote a series of fake accounts claiming to be people based in the Middle East
  • The revelation comes from the latest installment in the Twitter Files – the eighth such installment, published this time by San Francisco-based reporter Lee Fang
  • Twitter ‘quietly aided the Pentagon’s covert online PsyOp campaign,’ Fang said, in a time frame spanning at least the years 2017-2020
  • The work was done to bolster 52 accounts tweeting in Arabic, which promoted the U.S. policies in the Middle East
  • Fang said it was done despite Twitter having ‘claimed for years that they make concerted efforts to detect’ and ‘thwart gov-backed platform manipulation’

Twitter worked with the Pentagon to promote fake accounts in the Middle East which praised U.S. policy, it has emerged – despite the social media company insisting that it made ‘concerted efforts’ to ‘detect and thwart government-backed platform manipulation’.

The collusion spanned at least four years, from 2017 to 2020, and saw top Twitter executives liaise with military intelligence on ‘a covert online PsyOp campaign’ – promoting accounts including one that claimed the U.S. drone bombings in Yemen killed only terrorists.

The revelations were made by Lee Fang, who on Tuesday published the eighth installment of what is termed the Twitter Files.

This was all included in the Twitter Files Part 8, spearheaded by journalist Lee Fang.

Then again, our adversaries tend to do the same thing.  How many of you encountered that beautiful Asian girl wanting to be your girlfriend?

How many of you jumped at the chance to experience love for long time only to feel hurt and embarrassed when her profile was used in an all-hands briefing warning of the dangers of catfishing on social media?  Who excused themselves from the brief to go to the bathroom and splash cold water on their face when nobody was looking to ease the sting of being duped?

Certainly not me.

My field of shocked faces is as bare as my other field.

I miss mean tweets…and $1.69 gas…and $1.29 1/2 gallons of milk…and $.79 dozen eggs…and $2.00 a lb bacon…and…need I go on?

Never had an itching /burning desire for Asian Chicks. Never had any itching or burning either. I paid attention to “those” Training Films.

Keep ’em coming Elon. Those of us that have transitioned from being Conspiracy Theorists to being Charter Members of the “Told You So” Club look forward to it.

Me too, never caught the Asian Fever. They are missing certain… assets that Western Women tend to have more of…

But back to the US secretly manipulating it’s citizenry and others to achieve outcomes that pols want… I thought that was actually how it was supposed to work?

Let’s go waaayyyy back to when the internet was just a gamete swimming around in Al Gore’s ball sack. Here is a listing of all the fake names used by the founding fathers used in publications and letters to the editors to try to sway opinion for the new Constitution:

“Me too, never caught the Asian Fever.”

You want that Hoo-Hoo, just admit it.

There were no personal computers back in my days in SE Asia when I caught the Asian Fever. I had live girls, even if they did cost me $15 per day, when on R&R in Taipei and Hong Kong.

Ah, Taipei. Interesting memories. Looking out the window on the way to the R&R center and saw anti-aircraft guns, manned and ready. Kind of creepy for an alleged “rest and recreation” location. They had the all-important “recreation” part well organized and convenient, though.

Plus, never heard of anyone catching a case of the applause there.

Things are the same all over:

The most important asset is availability. That’s why they all look good at last call.

I’m afraid to say that the truth is we’ve all been living in a form of The Matrix with an alternate reality pulled over our eyes.

There are people firmly entrenched that dictate what we see and protect what we shouldn’t see, according to them. It is a corrupt system, but I also believe they feel it is in the best interest of the US to have some degree of order.

Trump, in spite of how people felt about him, was beholding to no one and pointed a lot of this out.

Biden, on the other hand, has probably long been presented with the goods on him and has been instructed to ‘play ball’ and has never been calling the shots. He’s a perfect puppet, in that sense. This is becoming obvious to many, ignored by many and suspected by many more.

The CIA and FBI are trained in information ops and use these skills in other countries to tilt a regime that is favorable to the US interests. Is it too far-fetched to entertain the idea that they saw an opportunity to use those skills domestically?

It probably was a little thing here and there at first, then got bigger and bolder. Then there was no turning back at some point, driven by the need to cover their tracks on past transgressions. Now, it is totally corrupt.

Don’t forget the National Endowment For Democracy, a taxpayer funded organization, and its offspring.

Would 45 have met an unfortunate ‘accident’ had he been reelected? POTUS’s come and go, but the Deep/Security/Permanent State is here to stay forever.

MCPO USN

That would have been the nuclear option but not out of the question.

GHW Bush was too old and out of the picture to do the deed like he did to Reagan, but maybe son “W” would have tried it.

We have been in this behind the scenes shit since WW2.
Eisenhower warned us.

So, Twitter is like a CIA/DIA contractor running covert PSOP operations both overseas and domestically.

Carlton

What’s funny is that the gal I’m speaking to online looks just like this girl but is totally legit. I do feel for those guys who got suckered.

One would think there would be a difference between running psyops against recognized foreign enemies vs running them against US Citizens. It’s not like they could infiltrate some other global communications network based in a foreign country.

This is all crazy talk. Next you will be saying the FBI was in on it as well.
