Off-duty FBI agent fatally shoots man during fight at crowded D.C. transit station, police say
Marlene Lenthang
An off-duty FBI agent fatally shot a man after a dispute inside a bustling Washington, D.C., transit station Wednesday evening, police said. The agent was at the Metro Center rail station when he got into an altercation with the suspect, identified as Troy Bullock, 28, of Southeast Washington, just after 6:20 p.m., police said.
Ashan Benedict, the executive assistant chief of police for the Metropolitan Police Department, said at a news conference that Bullock “pushed” the agent backward and they both fell down an 8-foot drop over a side wall, located away from the train tracks at the end of the platform, where they continued to struggle.
“Both of the individuals go off the side of the wall, and that struggle continues. Shots end up being fired during that struggle,” Benedict said.
The off-duty veteran FBI special agent was the one who opened fire, and Bullock was pronounced dead, Benedict said.
The FBI agent was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
It’s not clear what precipitated the argument.
Asked whether if the agent started the altercation, Benedict said, “Doesn’t appear so; he appears to be the victim.”
Police initially said Wednesday night that they didn’t recover another firearm, but in a statement Thursday, they said a handgun was recovered from the suspect.

They were able to talk with someone inside, but when they opened the door they saw a man holding a gun, struggling with a woman, according to a news release by the Regional Special Investigations Unit.

Hope the victim makes a swift and complete recovery. The shooter, not so much. Thanks again to our Gun Bunny for the links.

And Thursday morning on the Metro System, four people were shot at a Metro Station when some individuals practicing their debating skills decided to take it up a notch by bringing a firearm into the conversation. Police did apprehend a suspect, a 16 year old yute wearing an ankle monitor. The DC Justice System has a policy of tagging individuals then releasing them back into the wild.

Is that a revolver in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?
Another example of poor victim selection skilz. One less oxygen thief. Is odd that the perp’s weapon was not recovered from him til the next day.
Usually if you follow the instructions of Officer(s) Friendly, you have less of a chance of getting yo azz shot.

Y’all may recall the tale of my loss of a repro Colt’s Pocket Police in .36 Caliber to the lying, thieving, whore bitch from Hell Skrunt that was the final former Mrs. Gun Bunny. Neither buzzards nor worms will eat her carcass. One of my all time favorite cap & ball revolvers that really helped with my Josey Wales impression. Accurate as all hell and nearly irreplaceable. Still on the hunt for one.
