Michael Stavola
A passerby stopped a road rage incident where a knife was brandished after he held a man at gunpoint until police arrived Friday night on 21st Street North near I-135, Wichita police spokesperson Chad Ditch said.

Trevor Wende, 19, of Wichita was treated at a hospital before being arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property, Ditch said. The road rage incident started on 21st near Hillside while both drivers were headed west, Ditch said. He wasn’t sure what exactly sparked the road rage.

At the light at 21st and I-135, Wende reversed into the other vehicle, Ditch said. Both drivers then got into a fight before Wende brandished a knife, he said. A passerby saw Wende with a knife, stopped, pulled out his gun and held Wende at gunpoint until police arrived.

It’s perfectly acceptable to bring a gun to a knife fight, though. Thanks to our own David for the link.

One dead after argument over food at Wendy’s in Wichita leads to shootout: officials

Michael Stavola
A fight over food at a Wendy’s drive-through in Wichita led to a shootout that killed one person, officials said.

Police were called at 11:38 p.m. and found Pleasure Coleman unconscious and not breathing. Police tried “life-saving efforts” until EMS arrived, but Coleman died at the scene, Wichita police spokesperson Chad Ditch said.

The 31-year-old man that Coleman got into a shootout with was interviewed by police and released, Ditch said. The case will be turned over to the Sedgwick County district attorney to decide whether to prosecute.

Coleman was in the drive-through at Wendy’s, 3601 E. Harry, when he got upset. Ditch didn’t know if it was the wait or food that upset the 35-year-old Wichita man. People in line started to get upset and Coleman got into an argument with the 31-year-old behind him, Ditch said. Coleman got out of his vehicle and the two started shooting at each other…

Getting killed over fast food, especially Wendy’s, is a testimony to stupid, and the gene pool is healthier for it. Link courtesy of our own Gun Bunny.

Leadership is intangible, and therefore no weapon ever designed can replace it.

What is this? Several stories last week, and now an entire Monday FGS post? Is Kansas becoming the new Florida? Instead of “Florida (Wo)Man”, will we be referring to “Kansas Klowns”? That “something in the water” must have migrated.

Giving yourself an edge doesn’t mean having a sharp knife; ‘specially when one finds oneself in a gunfight.

Did dumbass have a beef about the beef? Shoulda went to Burger King where you can have it your way. Now he’s dead meat.

Someone go check Bradley’s Headstone. His spinning in his grave over the lack of leadership has probably knocked it caddy whompus. (That means askew for those of you that don’t speak Southern American)
