Boomer’s Sunday
It’s time once again, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I sort through the weekly offering of ‘toons and pick the best. Toons are provided mostly by Boomer and AW1 Scott, with many others contributing.
Disclaimer: These toons are meant to amuse, entertain and inform, pretty much in that order. While I cull what I can, they are not specifically fact-checked, so expect a certain amount of artistic license.
Eau De Hoppe’s 9 backordered.

Best part of my Sunday! Thank You all for putting this together every week.
Suns out, guns out!
Great job as always!
All good once again. I really like the spanky meme.
Plymouth Rock is a bit dicey. It was never positively identified and then only 120 years later. However it serves as a great example of fake fact checking by USAToday, who without any proof say it was placed there in 1920, which it wasn’t.

Pilgrim State Park was built in 1920 and a protective building was built around it, but the rock wasn’t moved.
You did read the disclaimer, right?
Uh yeah, I guess you missed the point.
The Plymouth Rock meme has been around a while and was “Debunked” by fact checkers a while back. But the fact checkers were actually wrong. This is happening more and more. It tends to happen more towards elections but they seldom go back and make corrections.
No, I don’t waste my time fact checking political memes or humorous toons. I’d never get the thing posted. I’m sensitive to quotes, but that’s really about it.
I point this out as a contrast to the articles I post- those I do research. By all means keep me honest, I am human despite some unfounded rumors.
Um…a photograph taken of Plymouth Rock in 1620 is merely a “bit” dicey?
You interested in adding my 1920 Corvette to your collection?
That Chris Hayes MSNBC meme needs to be re-researched. The top part has been chopped off, the “good luck” part was posted as a Twat response by James Woods, conservative actor.
And yes, I’d LOVE to go to the Irish Redhead Festival before I die. I’m not a red head, but who cares? I’d bring my g’son, he’s a 6+ft redhead, he’d probably get a dozen proposals of marriage -or- “I wanna have your baby”.
That was not me making neighborhood repairs. I admit nothing! Call my lawer.
The Plymouth rock is missing the White Rock Girl kneeling on the rock. Just look at the label on a bottle of White Rock soda pop and you will see her.
Hope everyone’s Sunday is restful and you are given strength to greet Monday with a kick to its F’ing throat!
Plus:
Wouldn’t recommend actually doing this, but probably scarier that “Beware of Dog” to post:
