Governor Greg Abbott’s (R-TX) administration has bussed the first group of illegals to Chicago on Wednesday. Abbott has added Chicago to his list of sanctuary cities receiving some of the uncounted thousands of illegals crossing our unprotected southern border. Other cities are New York and Washington, DC. So far, at least.
This program is intended to alleviate some of the pressure Texas is experiencing with the unchecked hoard of illegals, but mostly to showcase the abject failure of Medicated Joe’s Handlers to provide a basic function of any governing body- the protection of national borders.
The reaction to the arrival of the ~100 illegals to Chiraq has been predictable and hilarious.
Gov. Abbott Drops Off First Busload Of Migrants In Chicago

Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) said Wednesday his administration bussed the first group of migrants north to Chicago in response to the border crisis that has overwhelmed Texan communities.
Abbott said he would add the Windy City to the list of drop-off locations, which have included Washington, D.C., and New York City. He argued that it would provide “much-needed relief” to the state’s border towns overrun by a massive influx of people pouring over the southern border.
“President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans — and Americans — at risk and is overwhelming our communities,” Abbott said in a press release.
Abbott said he looks forward to watching Chicago’s sanctuary city services serve the migrants and the response from the city’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who “loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status.”
“Chicago is a welcoming city and as such has collaborated across various departments and agencies to ensure we greeted them with dignity and respect,” a spokesperson for the mayor’s office said in a statement. “As a city, we are doing everything we can to ensure these immigrants and their families can receive shelter, food, and most importantly, protection.”
The statement added that Chicago welcomes “hundreds of migrants every year” and provides much-needed assistance.
Instantly Chicago Mayor Lori “Five Head” Lightfoot (D-IL) threw the race card.
“Unfortunately, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is without any shame or humanity. But ever since he put these racist practices of expulsion in place, we have been working with our community partners to ready the city to receive these individuals.”
New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams, upon meeting newly arrived illegals, said that the actions of Abbott are “horrific.”
In Washington DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) twice requested Nation Guard Support due the the influx of ~4000 illegals over a three month period. The requests were denied, which shows the relative importance of the issue afforded by Medicated Joe and company.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated under oath to the House Judiciary Committee, “The border is secure and we’re executing our plan.”
That word “secure”…
I believe the second part of that statement. Sanctimony Cities are finding the price for virtue signaling with a mere handful of illegals untenable, and are furious at border states for not keeping all two million of them. To quote a favored author, “Well fuck’em if they can’t take a joke.”

The hypocrisy and back pedal by those who thought themselves safe from.the challenges of dealing with useless border security is notable and sad. I am totally in favor of them sharing the pain.however the tiny numbers of people sent North are meaningless compared to the flood in the South.
Point taken. I meant to direct the attention to virtue-signaling hypocrites and their entirely predictable responses to the crisis.
This is a disaster for everyone, including the illegals, except Medicated Joe’s Handlers and the Mexican cartels.

Petitioned niece and nephew (infants), along with their parents for green card and immigration. We put the kids through school… Niece, a 4th yr Physical Therapy student and Nephew, a Radiology Technician and certified EMS instructor for the Philippine Red Cross.

Are the illegals given a firearm when they board the bus in Texas, or somewhere along the road during the trip, or when they arrive in Chiraq?

We can feel all warm and fuzzy for the Guv shipping these criminals to another location that deserve them, giving those that condone these illegals a poke in the eye. However, IMHO, I’d think that busing them hundreds of miles back South, from where they came, instead of hundreds of miles deeper into our Country would make more sense. Here’s another novel idea. Make the US border incursion laws the same as Mexico’s.
The lack of action by Federal Authority is in blantant violation of what the Federal Govenrment is supposed to do. “…to provide for the common defence…”

Ol’ Poe has but one suggestion for Governor Abbott: In all fairness, sir, this being Chiraq you’re deploying these illegals to, don’t you think only fair to issue them each a loaded 9mm and a spare mag as they exit the bus?
It would help them become more quickly assimilated as well as jump-starting their careers… 😉

Even though I grew up there, and still have family and friends living in the area (I know some vote blue), they need to send these immigrants to Wilmington, Delaware. Preferably in Hockessin, Greenville, and/or Montchanin could use bus loads looking for a better life. Make it happen Gov. Abbott!!!
Let’s send a bus load or five to Martha’s Vineyard where rich snooty liberals like to go vacation!
