Donald Trump Statement on Mar-A-Lago raid
Those who are familiar with history and with current events would generally be alarmed at the raid on Mar-A-Lago. It does not matter how opposed one is with Donald Trump, he’s entitled to due process and not the mafia/thug tactics he and others have been subjected to. In both China and in Russia, people who threatened the “current normal” were subjected to similar tactics.
Xi Jinping sacked key members of the opposing communist faction in order for his faction to hold onto power. However, unlike Donald Trump, those he sacked were corrupt. The Russian government similarly sacked Mikhail Khodorkovsky who was charged, tried, and sentenced for what the oligarch felt were politically motivated in response to his founding an opposition party.
These kinds of actions, and sackings, also occur in third world dictatorships to keep control of dissent and to ensure that the current regimes remain in power. If they could do this to someone like Donald Trump, they could do this to regular people. Tragically, many among the left have accepted propaganda as “gospel” and that Orange Man “is” bad. It does not matter what side of the political debate one is on; this should be alarming to everyone.

Why not? Defending yourself against the full weight of the government is expensive. For the first President in history to not take a salary and spend millions defending against made up allegations why not raise money. How many of his supporters have been bankrupted defending against false accusations. Not so much. Bryan Pagliano was offered immunity to testify and still refused. He had no reason not to testify. Clinton testified with some carefully worded lies and changed her story over time in what amounted to perjury.
The main difference being that Clinton faced no legal hazards. The fix was already in with Comey even though he stated that Clinton was clearly negligent. The fact that he recognized that she did indeed perform illegal acts that the Justice Department refused to prosecute after being influenced by Bill Clinton is telling.
Ironically Clinton blamed Comey for losing the election when it was him that made sure she didn’t face charges. Given his mission I think he did about as well as anyone could have.

Thus, the jury would be unaware of its assertion. If it came up during the course of a trial, the issue has to be resolved out of the presence of the jury. That is if the defense lawer isn’t incompetent.
