Witness shoots and kills St. Charles QuikTrip robbery suspect

by: Ala Errebhi, Jaime Travers
The St. Charles Police Department says a 26-year-old man from St. Louis City on a violent crime spree was shot and killed by another man who was witnessing an armed robbery in progress at the QuikTrip located at 2260 First Capitol Drive.

Police say the crime spree began around 3 a.m. Saturday morning with an armed robbery at Mobile On The Run located at 1401 S. Fifth Street. The suspect held a knife to the 43-year-old female clerk’s throat while she opened the cash register. The suspect then pushed her to the floor, stole the money from the register, and then dragged her to the back of the store asking where the safe was.

The clerk wasn’t able to access the safe and the suspect dragged her back to the front counter where she opened a second register in attempt to stop the assault on her. After going through the second register the suspect fled the store in a black SUV. The clerk suffered lacerations from the knife to her left wrist, right hand, and neck. She was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While police officers were on the way to that armed robbery at the Mobile On The Run, a call for an alarm sounding at Mid-Town Phillips 66 located at 524 First Capitol came in around 3:15 a.m. When officers arrived, they found broken glass indicating a burglary had just taken place.

As officers were investigating that burglary, another report of an armed robbery came in just a few minutes later, at 3:20 a.m. at the QuikTrip located at 2260 First Capitol. There was a report of shots fired.

HOUSTON — A gunman accused of trying to rob another man was shot and killed by his intended victim, according to the Houston Police Department.

It happened Saturday night at an ATM near the intersection of Westheimer and South Gessner around 10:30 p.m.

Police say they arrived at the location and found a man shot, later determining he was deceased at the scene.

Following a preliminary investigation, police determined the deceased man had a gun and approached another man getting money out of an ATM.

Houston cop lauded for thwarting potential mass shooting near children’s dance competition: ‘Bum rushed’

Emma Colton
A Houston police officer spoke out for the first time about thwarting a potential mass shooting earlier this year, when a man with a rifle and 120 rounds of ammunition was spotted in a mall near a children’s dance competition.

“I quickly bum rushed, tackled him. And my first reaction was to make sure that I get a hold of the rifle. No matter what I grabbed, make sure I grabbed that rifle,” Houston Sgt. Kendrick Simpo told ABC 13. “I had in my mind (that) I was going to get shot. I just had to bear the pain. I knew it was going to hurt, and I was like, ‘Whatever I do, I cannot let go of this rifle.'”

Simpo said he was working a second job at The Galleria mall in Houston’s Uptown District Feb. 5 when he heard a call about a man with a rifle near Macy’s at the mall.

He and a security guard made their way toward Macy’s, and Simpo noted that he took special measures to not startle the hundreds of children and adults gathered for the dance competition, which was just a few hundred feet away from the department store.

“I did know there was a dance competition with little kids going on at the Westin Ballroom, so I didn’t pull my weapon out because I didn’t want to be running towards the Macy’s area, which is past the ballroom area, with the gun out and startle anyone,” Simpo explained.

He saw the suspect, Guido Herrera, near the Westin Ballroom’s entrance and tackled him.

Any folder risks fail when one stab, twist, slash. But the Buck seems decent. My 1980s Buck Hunter seems better made than current.

Certainly easier to pocket than my Randal. Heh

The smaller model 112 fits nicely in a purse.

Sgt Simpo is a true American Hero!

Would have been nice if he had been an evaluator and / or instructor for the freaking battalion of fail at Uvaldi.

400 cops, fed state and local, dicked around for over an hour, while one goon committed a slow motion massacre.

That is four companies, basicly the equivalent of a battalion. And they hesitated to attack one goon with a rifle.

Versus Sergeant Simpo, who not only attacked the goon directly and thoughtfully he had the presence of mind not to start a panic.

Put him to work instructing and evaluating.

Fight back with any and every weapon…preferably with your concealed carry firearm. Sgt Simpo could have a nice career advancement being the training officer to show others how it is done.

Those of us that have been around for 6+ decades realize how many of our liberty have whittled away during that time frame. The despots are no longer whittling, they are now trying to take a chain saw to us.

What kind of monster tells his four year-old to shoot cops?

“Sadaat pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and child abuse. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail as well as probation.”

But if a normally law abiding citizen recklessly jaywalks across the Capitol rotunda they get Amerikan Gitmo’ed?

Fuck this place. We’re on our own.

How about the young man who shot and killed the perp who started shooting people at a mall food court, and the anti 2A liberal crowed wanted the good guy with a gun to be arrested for not obeying the gun free zone sign.
