Capitol Cop on January 6

| July 13, 2022

LC and I went a couple rounds last night over this one. Neither changed the other’s mind, but that’s not the point. We remained cordial, and expressed our views without rancor. You know, like adults.

I originally was not going to post this, but a couple things changed my mind. LC’s views are just as valid, and valued, as anyone else here. That I disagree with most matters not. Also, this a useful look into how the Dems are managing the narrative of 6 January. I repost the article in its entirety.

I Was Betrayed by President Trump

As one of the Capitol Police officers who defended the United States against the mob on Jan. 6, 2021, I felt it was important for me to be in the committee room on June 28 to hear the former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony. Along with three colleagues, I went, even though I knew it would be difficult to relive the horrors I witnessed. Although I experienced firsthand the brutal onslaught of the insurrectionists, I was shocked to hear Ms. Hutchinson explain the extent to which former President Donald Trump incited the people who almost killed me.

I am an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, a U.S. Army veteran and a sergeant who has worked on the force for 16 years, but I’ve never witnessed anything like the Jan. 6 attack — even in combat in Iraq. I was sure I was going to die that day, trampled by the hordes of President Trump’s supporters trying to stop the official transfer of power on his behalf.

Ms. Hutchinson, the former aide to Mr. Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified that her boss said that things could get “real bad” on Jan. 6 and that Mr. Trump was warned that members of the crowd that had amassed were armed. Of course, I never would have imagined that an American president would not only not come to the aid of law enforcement officers defending the Capitol but encourage that crowd to march on it. Instead of being notified about the danger, my colleagues and I were kept in the dark, and thus walked into an ambush unprepared.

I don’t know what part of Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony enraged me most: that Mr. Trump wanted to be driven to the Capitol to lead the vicious riot, that he’d spurred his supporters on knowing they were armed, or that he ignored some of his advisers and even his daughter who told him to call it off, allegedly fighting with his own Secret Service agent after he refused to let the president be driven there.

Or maybe it was the fact that Mr. Trump eventually told the rioters who’d criminally assaulted my colleagues and me while trying to bring down the U.S. government: “Go home. We love you. You are very special.”

Other disturbing details I heard at the hearing had to do with Mr. Trump’s apparent disregard for everyone but himself. Before Mr. Trump addressed his supporters on the Ellipse, ahead of the insurrection, he was told that those who were armed weren’t being let through security checkpoints and, according to Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony, he said, “I don’t effing care that they have weapons. They’re not here to hurt me.”

Later, when rioters breached the Capitol, according to Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony, the former White House counsel Pat Cipollone told Mr. Meadows that they had to go see the president about what was happening. Mr. Meadows’s response was that Mr. Trump “doesn’t want to do anything,” Ms. Hutchinson recalled. Mr. Cipollone replied, according to Ms. Hutchinson: “Something needs to be done or people are going to die and the blood’s going to be on your effing hands.”

The nine people who died as a result of that horrific day — including the four officers who died by suicide after the attack — weren’t so lucky. Neither was I. At the West Front of the Capitol, I was attempting to hold a tactical police line along with about 60 members of my team, as we were taught at the academy, to keep the invaders at bay. We were savagely beaten and easily overpowered. I would later learn that the mob was estimated to be 10,000 strong.

It was like a medieval battleground. With our lives in peril, I would have been justified in using lethal force. But I didn’t want to spark a massacre. Over the course of the five-hour struggle, my hands were bloodied from being smashed by a stolen police baton. My right foot and left shoulder were so damaged that I needed multiple surgeries to repair them. My head was hit with such force with a pipe that I no doubt would have sustained brain damage if not for my helmet.

I have spent a year and a half in physical therapy for chronic pain that I have been told will never go away. My young son almost lost his father and my wife had to quit medical school, owing to the stress and demands of my ongoing recovery.

After the riot, I received a Congressional Gold Medal and was recently named a Great Immigrant by the Carnegie Corporation. After recently passing the lieutenant’s test, I hoped to be promoted. Instead, on the day of Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony, I was heartbroken to hear my doctors tell me that at 43, I should no longer work with the police force.

The physical and emotional damage I sustained on Jan. 6 not only cut short my career, it has upended my life. Five of my colleagues in law enforcement died and more than 850 rioters were arrested. So many families have been ruined because of one man’s lust for power.

Even more galling are the Republicans who still refuse to provide testimony under oath and instead dangerously downplay how close we came to losing our democracy. I applaud the courage of the witnesses who’ve come forward to tell the truth. I know from personal experience — I have given testimony several times about that day to Congress, to the F.B.I. and in court — how distressing it can be. I just wish we all had been able to testify sooner, right after Jan. 6, when we might have had more impact.

The enabling of Mr. Trump needs to stop now. He should not only be banned from running for any other government office, he should never be allowed near the White House again. I believe he betrayed his oath to defend the Constitution, and it was to the detriment of me, my colleagues and all Americans, whom he was supposed to protect.

Aquilino Gonell is a sergeant in the Capitol Police. He is working on a book about surviving the Jan. 6 insurrection.

LC did send the NYT link- it’s behind a registration wall, and there’s only so much I’ll do for y’all. I expect the comments to be salty, but directed to the content, or to me. Copy?

Thanks, LC. Perhaps not the intro you were looking for, but there is an intro.

“He is working on a book about surviving the Jan. 6 insurrection”

Should have put that at the top instead of the bottom.

Mason

It would have saved me the time it took to read the first two paragraphs, get disgusted, and skip down to the comments.

rgr769

I’ll believe his story about his injuries when I see certified copies of his medical records. I have seen so many phony personal injury claims in 40 years of litigation, I could write several books. I’d love to have surveillance on the Sgt. while his worker’s comp case is pending.

Sapper3307

But still arrests, camera footage or cell phone (META) data for the crew that erected premanufactured gallows in front of the Capital?
Glow Worms?

Roh-Dog

Kennedy Center for Performance Arts project paid for with PPP money to unHolyweird and Nancy Piglosi’s largesse.

I bet if the FIB wanted to know, they’d know.

Oh, no, the butthurt! (Chewbacca guy made him feel insecure about his [lack of] manhood, but he can’t say that.)

No tears about his jerkoff idiot superior shooting an unarmed protestor through the window of a locked door? Has the wussyboy no empathy? (Apparently not.)

Was he afraid before or after his comrades removed the barricades and opened the doors to invite the crowd into the building?

AZRobert

Once the full light, (Damn the National Security Bull Crap) of how many .Gov Ass-sets, ALL Agencies, plus Contractors and Contractors of Contractors were Operating before, during and after Jan 6, the Real Truth will not be known.

But alas, Babylon!

Sapper3307

The mystery of the magnetic door locks?

Roh-Dog

Who was in the central control room?

Why haven’t they been compelled to testify?

Are they already Arkancided?

So, I’m guessing this delicate flower wasn’t on duty 5/29? I’d like to see some Seattle, NYPD, Minneapolis cops to write about the days, weeks, and months of rioting they endured. This guy struggled through a couple of hours…maybe. I’d like to see where he was posted that day. Is there any footage of him? If this was SO traumatic, why aren’t there dozens of books from other cops that day?
In case you forgot…

Devtun

See Ray Epps still hasn’t been arrested & thrown in the DC dungeons. 🤔

Roh-Dog

Or that son-of-a-LTC, known AnQueefa/Burn Loot Murder camera guy, JadenX.

Odd that.

Still have not found the black bloc morons that changed in the hedges into ‘patriot’ garb.

But if you bring it up you’ll be on a list.

How’re those red flag laws coming along?

Same as it ever was.

Roh-Dog

I got to this line, “The nine people who died as a result of that horrific day”, then I could no longer tolerate the crap spewed by this retard.

One died was murdered. She was a Veteran too, shitstain.

The violent attack by a large amount of the perpetrators unknown and frustrated individuals that were unable to get into the cordoned speech area was provoked by your compatriots, Sergeant Fuckface.

You. Are. On. Video.

You. Threw. Riot grenades. At. People. That. Didn’t. Know. They. Were. In. A. “Restricted”. Area.

I’m not excusing any violence that day (any fucking side, mind you) but the idea there were “”weapons”” bore by the crowd is absolutely false, unless the known assets had them(which they did).

These actions and actors are the last gasps of failed empire, no cap. This language is designed to make someone/or group snap in order to give these clowns a reason to strap on the jackboots. Nothing more.

Don’t fall for it, Patriots. Let Nature fix this.

I’d like to see the names of all the ones who “died as a result” of the events of that horrific day, and the exact circumstances of their deaths. We know about Ashli Babbitt, and we know about the debunked story of Brian Sicknick being beaten to death with a fire extinguisher. Are we supposed to believe the others died as a direct result of the actions of some wild-eyed Trump acolyte?

These assholes think the public is stupid.

President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

Oh noes! The horror! The fear mongering! The mile high BS!

I could go on, but even my cast iron stomach can take only so much blatant vitriol.

Aquilino Gonell, you and your fellow officers were set out as cannon fodder, lambs to the slaughter, sacrificed by Nancy Pelosi in order to score political points. I don’t support, condone, approve of, or even like the actions of the mob on January 6. It was allowed to happen. Where was your backup? Why were no contingency plans in place? We’re questioning the wrong people here.

poetrooper

Well, ol’ Poe can certainly see why this piece of self-serving mendacity appeals to LC.

Let’s see if he shows up to defend it… 🙄

poetrooper

By the way, Ed, are you positive that title shouldn’t read, Capitol Copout?

LC

Have I ever not defended things I post?

There are a million articles about Jan 6th I could’ve sent to Ed; I picked this one because it was an Op-Ed from a military veteran. Surely that’s still relevant to this blog, no?

26Limabeans

Would his DD-214 be relevant to this blog?

USMC Steve

NO it was a propaganda piece from a fraud.

LC

He’s a fraud? How so? Is he falsely claiming military service? Falsely claiming his police service? Falsely representing his injuries? What?

On 6 January 2021, how many abortions were performed that day in the United States?

Were there any murders in Chicago or DC or Philly on 6 January 2021?

Any gang related shootings take place on 6 January 2021?

Did anyone lose their life on 6 January 2021 to someone who may have been under the influence of anything while driving a vehicle…or was a passenger? Did they all wear seatbelts?

How many died on January 6 2021 as a result of an illegal drug overdose?

The article states “the nine people who died as a result of that horrific day”..

Boyland died after being beaten by a female officer with a baton or some blunt object. I’ve seen the video and the statements by the person trying to extricate her. The cops did nothing to offer her aid when they dragged her away.

poetrooper

And your explanation for the video showing the Capitol police opening the security doors and ushering the demonstrators into the building is…???

We’re all waiting… 🤔

LC

I don’t know why a few Capitol police opened doors and let people in. Maybe a mistake? Maybe a failure in communication? Maybe a hope to avoid being overrun there as things were getting out of hand? It takes a big leap of logic to automatically assume some conspiracy, though – like, where’s the evidence of that?

Is 9/11 a conspiracy again now because hey, some people were fine and dandy with letting some foreign nationals learn to fly -but not land!- planes? Of course, at least one trainer reported them, but others did not. Mistake? Communication error? Or conspiracy?!? The latter is the same attitude you have here.

The Democrats -who, presumably, would be behind such a conspiracy?- are incapable of doing god damn anything, yet they’re secretly able to engineer a false flag operation, in the Capitol, with nobody coming forward with evidence to that effect? Sometimes, you gotta learn to evaluate positions independent of politics, especially as more information is known.

poetrooper

LC, you need to up your game. This conspiracy schtick you and other libs keep throwing up as a shield has become so lame it’s laughable. It’s now akin to calling someone a racist–completely meaningless in other words.

A conspiracy theory is any dastardly deed that Democrats get caught doing, yet which inevitably proves to have been the reality. Clinton corruption and absence of prosecution is one. The Trump Russia hoax comes to mind. Widespread FBI corruption is another.

Joe Biden being senile and unfit to serve back during the last presidential campaign was dismissed as just another silly conservative conspiracy theory. All the dirt now obvious about Hunter Biden and Biden family corruption has long been dismissed as just another conservative conspiracy theory.

Remember how for decades media leftist bias was contemptuously dismissed as a fever-dream conspiracy theory? Care to so characterize it that way now, LC?

LC

So… what’s your theory of what happened? Because the definition of a conspiracy is a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.

Either you’re saying the Capitol Police may have let some people past a barricade by accident, in which case we’re in agreement and it doesn’t impact the broader issues at play, or they did it intentionally, but with no public statements or motive as to why.. or, you know, a secret plan. So we’re back to ‘conspiracy’.

You need to understand that ‘conspiracy theory’ needn’t involve the Illuminati and shape-shifting aliens, it can be something as mundane as suggesting, absent evidence (that’s the ‘theory’ part), that there was some secret plot that’s being hidden from the public.

Hunter Biden can be a complete train wreck and Trump can be utterly complicit in the events of Jan 6th. You don’t need to pick sides, you just need the evidence.

poetrooper

“You need to understand that ‘conspiracy theory’ needn’t involve the Illuminati and shape-shifting aliens, it can be something as mundane as…”

DEMOCRATS!

Which is precisely what we’ve been trying to tell you willfully blind enablers.

LC

So, your theory is that the Capitol Police let people past the barriers because… ‘DEMOCRATS!’. And that all the evidence towards this is somehow being hidden, like in a .. I dunno, what’s that word? Conspiracy?

Hmm,.. a theory .. behind a conspiracy. What could we possibly call such a thing?

Odie

My opinion from the cheap seats in fly over country, had this been an actual armed insurrection, wouldn’t there have been more bloodshed?

With all the legal guns in this country, I believe people would know, without a doubt, what an insurrection or uprising would look like. Or that one had taken place.

We can’t get a wall on our southern border because of cost we are told, but a chain link fence protects our “betters”. And a year later, 50 billion to Ukrain, to protect their borders. Or more likely, to protect a money laundering operation. But that’s another story.

LC

I think the vast majority of the people there were unarmed, and genuinely just there in support of Trump. And I think, as the evidence is beginning to show, various groups like the Oath Keepers had weapons ready for when they ‘got the word’. Since I think many of them are cowards acting tough, it’s not clear if any would’ve actually fired upon LEOs, but we do have plenty of evidence of them beating the tar out of people already, so who knows?

I agree that ‘insurrection’ is not really the best word, since large-scale violence was not the plan nor goal. So fine, let’s not call it that. But there was unquestionably an attempt by President Trump to delay the certification and declare himself President again. How much the riots that broke out are tied to that is part of the Jan 6 Committee’s investigation.

And I agree, our priorities on budgeting and spending are totally nonsensical, though I’m skeptical about the money laundering angle. That is indeed another story though.

rgr769

Hey, MarineDud, maybe you should look at the footage of what is going on in Sri Lanka if you want to see what a real insurrection looks like. Or better yet, the footage of what happened in Rumania when they took down Ceausescu.

MarineDad61

rgr,
Apples & oranges.
I never called Jan 6 an insurrection, either.
The Dems are overplaying it, sure.
But farrightwingnut types are underplaying it,
with delusion and denial.

mmcm describes it accurately below.

The only wannabe insurrectionists were
idiot Oath Keeper and Proud Boy types.
Oh, and a large bunch of lone wolves,
easily led on by false statements (lies)
and other incendiary chatter by Trump.
That’s on them.
They’re knuckleheads.
And if they did the fighting, smashing,
and/or rummaging,
they belong in jail.

Just see the court testimony
of various convicted knuckleheads.
Oh, and their FaceBook, Twitter,
and other soc media statements, pics, & videos,
before AND after Jan 6.

USMC Steve

Flush out your headgear dude. If that had been an insurrection, Biden would be dead, along with Pelosi and the other seditiionist socialist democrats, and the capitol area would be in American, vice socialist democrat hands.

KoB

Pure and total bull sh^t.

News flash for you, you chicken sh^t mofo. When We, The People, finally get tired of accepting the things that we thought wouldn’t ever change and decide to change the things that we can no longer accept, THEN you will see a real insurrection.

I do not condone what ANY of the idiots did on 6 January (both “sides”), but I’ve ’bout had a belly full of the spin and outright lies that have been spewed out by our wanna be political masters. What we are seeing portrayed here is a page by page repeat of history where despots have taken over.

LC

What lies are being spouted? I’m asking honestly, and I know you’re incredibly frustrated with the state of the country, and I can certainly understand that. But what, specifically, are the lies? All the evidence is suggesting that it was Trump who knew he lost, and tried every conceivable notion to ignore the result of the election – from fake electors, to getting Pence to not certify things, to helping engineer a riot to prevent that certification from taking place.

What are the lies? And, equally importantly, is there anything that would make you change your mind and believe you were wrong?

LC

To give my own perspective on that, in a different story this week, you’ll probably recall Biden said something about a 10-year old girl who had to travel out of state for an abortion. That’s pretty unsettling for multiple reasons, but I believed the story to be true, because while I think he’s an idiot, I didn’t believe he’d make something up out of whole cloth.

Then the stories came about that said there was zero evidence of it… and I changed my mind. I figured he was duped, and it was an activist pushing a story that had some emotional oomph to it.

Now they’ve arrested a guy who raped her, they think, and I once again changed my mind and believe it to be true. You can’t hold on to what you want to believe, you have to go with the evidence. So what evidence would convince you that you’re wrong about the election and/or Jan 6th?

poetrooper

“…while I think he’s an idiot, I didn’t believe he’d make something up out of whole cloth.”

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Oh, brother, is that a world-class admission of liberal gullibility… 😆 😆 😆

Please Poe, do not sully the label of ‘Liberal’ by assigning it to asshats like he.

If he was concerned about this ‘democracy’ he’d be more concerned about the pre-versions of justice re the political prisoners being held without bail or trial by the District of Criminals.

And yet, here we are, surrounded by traitors. And no, I did not mistype: TRAITORS.

You allow the Government to divide us and to abuse your fellow Citizen because of allegiance to those functionaries who would do the same to you?

T.R.A.I.T.O.R.S.
….

My drunk ass is going to sleep. Take no quarter, Poe!!!

KoB

LC, if you don’t think/know that the career politicians and wanna be despots haven’t been lying (aided and abetted by their media lackeys) then you flat haven’t been paying attention for the last 50+ years. Again, BOTH sides. “Meet the new boss….same as the old boss…” The American Taxpayer has been nothing but a pawn and piggy bank for them for years. And if the politician themself is not lying then they have their mouthpiece do it for them. Those of us that just want to be left alone to live our life in the pursuit of happiness are sick of it. This 6 Jan BS. Just that! BS. If that had of been a true “armed insurrection” they’d have been way yonder more people “armed” and the streets would have run with blood. I do believe that some were hoping that a single shot would set it off, giving them the excuse to declare martial law. Nobody fired back when Ashli Babbitt was shot. Wonder why?

LC

I agree politicians lie all the time. But they don’t lie about everything. If you ask them what time of day it is, and the sun is shining from straight above, they aren’t going to tell you it’s 11 o’clock at night. The trick isn’t knowing that they lie, it’s knowing when they lie.

And usually that’s when there’s no supporting evidence so they can spin things. For Jan 6th, we’ve got video, text messages, depositions and more. Or, to put it a different way, if you do believe that all politicians lie, and you ask two politicians, “What is 2+2?”, and one says 4, and the other says 12, do you scowl and say that all politicians lie, so they must both be wrong?

With Jan 6th, there are indeed plenty of politicians lying. They’re broadly the ones still kissing up to former President Trump. They’re saying, “Sure, sure.. you’ve got pictures, sworn testimony, chat logs, etc, but trust me, 2+2 is twelve.”

LC

Or, if you want to be perhaps more fair, you’re asking, “What’s 2+2?”, and one side is telling you it’s 4.3.. and the other side is saying it’s 12. Both are wrong, but one is more wrong than the other.

As for the ‘insurrection’ label … well, I agree. It’s stupid. A few armed people in an otherwise unarmed crowd don’t make for an insurrection, which we tend to think of as armed.

This was certainly a riot, and not everyone involved is or even should be culpable. That’s where our rhetoric has gotten us. The BLM marches are similar, absolutely. In this case, the question is whether it was part of a broader plan to declare victory in the election by delaying certification.

poetrooper

“This was certainly a riot…”

But a uniquely calm and quiet riot until the Capitol police extended an offer to the crowd to enter, then fired upon a young woman who in no way represented a true threat to them or the candy-assed congress critters.

Try again, LC, you’re not performing up to standards… 🤔

LC

Ashli Babbitt was shot at 2:44pm, after the rioters -yes, that seems like an apt term- broke the glass and were pounding on the locked doors the guards were behind, protecting members of Congress.

And no, it wasn’t ‘uniquely calm and quiet’ at that point – half an hour earlier, Secret Service had to evacuate Pence who was within a hundred feet of the crowd, some of whom had been chanting to hang him, police were being beaten and fighting back multiple attacks, and rioters were spreading throughout the inside of the building.

Maybe I’m wrong, Poe, but I’m inclined to think if an angry mob of people descended upon your home, broke down some doors, broke glass to a window, some yelling about violence to your family, and one climbed through a window to where you were barricaded… you’d not say, “Well, they’re probably unarmed, and no threat to us.”

mmcm(sw)nuc

Seems like I might be a loner on here…:(

When I came home after work on January 6, 2021, turned on the tv and saw what was happening at the Capital…My first words were: “wtf…shoot the sons of bitches.”

Leadership is a lonely position.

My opinion: If you still support the actions and rhetoric displayed that day by Trump and his supporters…there is no cure…

poetrooper

“My first words were: “wtf…shoot the sons of bitches.”

Same here, Master Chief, but referring to the feckless Capitol cops not the demonstrators… 🙄

Oh, and you’re not alone here–you have LC and MarineDad61 to keep you company–which, admittedly, can be a fairly dubious situation from time to time, kinda like being a Sioux scout with Custer at Little Big Horn.

But, as Ed says, you’re entitled to your opinions and your expression thereof in the comments. But on this current topic, don’t be too surprised if you get some blowback.

And, lastly, snarky comments like, “there is no cure” implies that there’s something inherently defective with the mental processes of those of your fellow veterans who simply disagree with you politically.

That kind of snide superiority usually is not well received by some of our more excitable regulars, who may not respond as politely as ol’ Poe is doing here.

Just ask your new buddies, LC and MarineDad61… 😉

“And, lastly, snarky comments like, “there is no cure” implies that there’s something inherently defective with the mental processes of those of your fellow veterans who simply disagree with you politically.”

No politics involved.

Leadership is lonely…and I would rather be alone than wish I was….:)

Roh-Dog

The only thing you’ll ever “lead” is your ribbon rack.

Your opinions are by definition political, bee tee dubs:

If you still support the actions and rhetoric displayed that day by Trump…[some bullshit rhetoric best wielded by Warriors]

The man did nothing wrong on that day, it was proven by the government. Remember?

Maybe you should go ‘cure’ your fellow Americans by force. It seems to suit you, Master Queef.

poetrooper

“Leadership is lonely…and I would rather be alone than wish I was….”

Well, if you’re gonna close with that kind of pompous, leadership-course crap, you most likely will find it just a tad lonely around here, chief… 🙄

mmcm(sw)nuc

“Well, if you’re gonna close with that kind of pompous, leadership-course crap,..”

Didn’t learn that in any classroom course… 🙂

MarineDad61

mmcm,
Poefibber & a handful of others here can’t take it,
that lifelong PA GOP (twice Trump) voters like myself
jumped off the Trump Train mid Dec 2020,
when Stop the Steal types started
implicating themselves in shenanigans and claims
without real evidence.

Further, I took a dim view of Jan 6,
not the 125k who went to a DC rally & march
(I considered going myself),
but the 3000 or so “knuckleheads”
who thought barricades fighting, door smashing,
climbing through smashed out windows,
& rummaging the Senate and other Capitol offices
was the thing to do.
When it wasn’t.

Just above, someone still spouts “political prisoner”.
Really?
Well, Samuel Lazar sits in jail today
not for political reasons,
but criminal reasons, with a past.

So, Poe & the Gang will beat up on anyone
who disagrees with their Trump 2024 mentality.
Because they didn’t get their way.

Roh-Dog

The inability to be reasoned and logical, to see the obverse view with all its beauty and warts, is going to get the man legally and lawfully elected for president a 3rd fucking time.

You’ll have no one to blame but yourselves. Just like the last two fucking times.

Stop the bullshit and behave in a principled manner or enable that jackass.

You really haven’t a clue to how this works, do you?

MarineDad61

Roh-Dog,
I have no idea what you are talking about.

The GOP should take back the House
AND win the Senate come November 2022.
But Pennsylvania won’t help,
not in the Senate.
It’s too close to call with Dr.Oz,
who may lose the seat of retiring
GOP Senator Toomey
to the sitting pothead Dem Lt. Governor.

But mark my words here,
January 2024 presidential primary season
will look nothing like these Summer 2022
exploratory and fishing expeditions.

And the aura and influence of Trump
won’t be what it was,
or even what is is now.

He may end up “endorsing”
1 of the other 2024 GOP competitor hopefuls,
to get the guy he wants, who is not him.

Roh-Dog

Donald Trump has already run and won 2024. He’s done it every day since that sham in Nov 2020 and will continue to do so.
The only way he doesn’t win is if he can find a bigger, more militant prick than he.

You want a republican in office? Start realizing that Trump won, the election was stolen and both parties don’t work for you at all.

Still want a republican?

Like I said and will continue, this inability to see division is the game used to separate us from our Liberty, money and country, etc is worse than anyfuckthing that PDJT did, even the not-a-vaccine!!

This handwringing and demonizing PDJT is what is making him popular. People fucking want an existential threat to this shit system, some knowingly, others subconsciously.

You’re in the midst of a game theory exercise, allowing that gritting sob to run fucking circles around you, and your “muh mean tweets”ing like a child.

Trump for Emperor/Executioner 2024!!!

MarineDad61

Sounds like you’re going to fall harder than all those publicly wailing Hillary nuts in 2016.
She said it was rigged, too.
And of course it wasn’t.
She just lost.

Roh-Dog

It *was* rigged, just not enough. They huffed their own farts and missed the target.
The fake op candidate won and the rest is history.
I can’t ‘fall’ (haven’t yet taken the Black Pill but I see it’s allure) I’m subterranean and lardered.

Step your game up, scro.

You have NO IDEA what ‘24 is going to look like, do you? Debt crisis, depression, a rise of Unhuman Acts enroute.

This is bigger than red team/blue team.
You have to see where the ball is going…

I agree with Roh-Dog and ninja. The new york times article sounds like the start of a Joseph Goebbels story.

poetrooper

The sound of a NYT turkey: Goebbel, Goebbel, Goebbel… 😜

What am I to believe? This guy’s words or my eyes that saw the tons of video showing cops letting the protestors in to the Capitol or the riot cops just standing there while peaceful demonstrators begged them to do something about the real extremists in the crowd?

This whole thing stinks of an agent provocateur op. And PDT, like many, many, many dems in years past called bs on election results. And PDT was right to do it. He told people to peacefully make their views known. NOT what this guy says.

I have always find it funny when on the video the officer asks the protestors if they are done and to leave and they say OK and leave. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWy5W3IZ0LQ

“The post I Was Betrayed by President Trump appeared first on New York Times.”

The NYT, the DNC’s #1 propaganda apparatus alongside CNN.

So apparently he didn’t suffer one bit during the full-blown riots in DC shortly after Donald Trump was elected, remember the businesses lotted and burned along with a Stretch Limo owned by an Immigrant?

The NYT is in dire need of a huge enema.

SgtBob

My goodness. Those brave capitol po-leece held back 10,000 insurrectionists? Ten thousand.

Roh-Dog

I had already said that I was leaving. {Should’ve}

Fuh King oops.

But to you thin-skulled ass hats that can’t understand why or how that the election was stolen, like for real for real, y’all want to continue the large posts with accusations, tough guy talk, hurt feelings…

Well….

Welcome to the Second World Meme War.

Tribunals start soon! Honk honk!

Get vaxxxxxxxinated!!!!

That is a nice propaganda piece and most likely totally bullshit. I bet the “cop” is as fake as most of the information in the article. It is obviously written totally to cater to the lunatic left, with no pretense of objectivity. which is no doubt why LC liked it so much.

Interesting Background Information.

In 2005, Aquilino Anthony Gonell was identified as an Owner/Manager of a Restaurant specializing in Latin-American cooking, located in Allentown/Lehigh Valley, PA.

His Mom was credited in owning/operating a similiar restaurant in NY, which supposedly closed when Gonell went overseas while serving in the Military.

In late 2004, his Mom decided to move to Allentown, PA to open that restaurant.

Gonell had just returned from a deployment from Iraq. He was an Army Reserve Staff Sergeant.

He and his family came to the United States around 1992. He graduated from Long Island University in Brooklyn with a Degree in Photography.

As of 2022, the restaurant in PA has been designated as permanently closed.

Roh-Dog

What’s the name of the restaurant? Her name?

Any sources or other datas you got, plz send (nudes?).

ninja

Roh-Dog…

👍👍👍😉😎

We do have the name of the now closed restaurant in PA…the one in NY may have reopened.

We also have his Mom’s name.

Trying to make the right decision on posting that information. Information came from a 2005 Newspaper article.

If you and anyone else feel comfortable, I can and will share that small tidbit since it was public info in 2005.

You make great judgment calls, so we will wait.

Just thought it was interesting background info. Especially since his business was in PA…

MarineDad61 mentioned one of the January 6 “rioters” recently passed away…and was from PA.

Roh-Dog

I’ll try to source the article myself.
Thanks mucho.

ninja

Roh-Dog…

We can send info to admin and ask them to send to you.

Is that ok?

Roh-Dog

Naw, I’m good. Was using opensecrets, other dotorgs, tax filings to draw some “cOmSpeARsee TheReEEEs” but now bored.

Not sure if it was his cousin or what that got remunerations via excused loan(s) but some realtor in Miami got pppaaaiiiddd by SBA.

My autism meter is running low due to hangover operations.

Appreciate you.

ninja

Thank You!

If you ever need the info, please let us know and we will send to you via our wonderful Admin Gurus..

Hang in there on the Hangover OPS. Am sure KoB and Others have some “cure” for ya… 😉 😎

We always enjoy reading LC’s comments as well as the exchange between different viewpoints/perspectives.

Thank You, AW1Ed and LC, for being yourselves as well as being open and honest in an adult manner. It is obvious this post was a coordinated effort.

The same Thank You goes to the other TAH Commentators.

Heck, we conduct barb exchanges with our favorite Rebel, AKA as KoB. As in hbtd/rtr.

Same with our beloved AW1Ed with gabn.

And Mick with “That Movie That Shalt Not Be Named”..

All good. Have to admit we kindamiss the exchanges with the Commissar. We noticed he recently returned.

Hope you stay, LC. Come back, Commissar. We learned some interesting tidbits from both of you…and we hope you both learned from others.

TAH would be a bit boring if we all thought the same. Challenges are fun. 😉😎

GABAF/hbtd/rtr 🛫👨‍✈️

“TAH would be a bit boring if we all thought the same. Challenges are fun.”

That is precisely what ol’ Poe has been saying on this forum for years. it’s the challenge that prompts the long comments threads. It’s not a matter of us trying to “beat up” on anyone as MarineDad61 likes to piously claim. We simply disagree with their political positions and let them know why.

It’s abundantly clear from the comments that their views are not held by many others here at TAH, but if they want to continue to post them and suffer the slings and arrows of the vocal majority, far be it from ol’ Poe to deny them that opportunity.

As you say, they help keep this site interesting…

Point of order, I did offer to rearrange that condescending fuck Steelyi [Dan]’s face.

Why steely dan? IYKYK.

poetrooper

Dog, if you recall, Poe even asked COL Steely to stick around in response to his farewell comment. He could be a bit of a pompous jerk sometimes, but he still knew a helluva lot about the internal workings (and politics) of the upper echelons of our military.

You might be glad he didn’t take you up on your offer. If he’s who I think he is, he’s a big SOB who played in the line for a major SEC powerhouse. 😜

rgr769

Yes, let’s hope the commie cuttlefish comes back. But he is likely too busy with his Antifa circle jerks and related “direct actions” where he serves as their “medic.” But who knows? I hear they closed his favorite Starbucks in Portland, the US capitol of the Antifastanis.
