Bloody Week for Navy Leaders

| June 16, 2022

Mick and Poetrooper send us news that our Navy has dismissed four commanding officers and a senior enlisted adviser in less than one week due to the vague sin of “loss of confidence.”

Would that I had some confidence in Big Navy’s leadership and goals.

Navy fires five leaders in less than a week

BY ELLEN MITCHELL

The Navy has announced a string of five firings in the span of less than a week, the most recent on Tuesday with the commanding officer of USS Preble guided missile destroyer.

Cmdr. Peter Lesaca was relieved of his role “due to loss of confidence in his ability to command,” according to a Navy statement.

The service did not offer details on his firing, only noting that “Navy commanding officers are held to high standards of personal and professional conduct” and are “expected to uphold the highest standards of responsibility, reliability and leadership, and the Navy holds them accountable when they fall short of those standards.”

Capt. Larry Repass, deputy commodore of Destroyer Squadron 23, will assume the duties as commanding officer until the permanent and qualified relief arrives, the Navy noted.

Prior to that, on June 11 the Navy relieved Capt. Jeffry Sandin, the commanding officer of the Recruit Training Command, “due to a loss of confidence in his ability to command.”

The service also did not offer details of Sandin’s firing, and only said he had been reassigned to Naval Service Training Command headquarters.

Capt. Kertreck Brooks, chief of staff of Naval Service Training Command, took over Sandin’s responsibilities.

A little transparency would be a good start to a return to something like trust in our military. I suppose that will have to wait for another administration.

Thanks, gentlemen.

Some difference between the Navy that I was in and the new Navy.

Green Thumb

My best guess is that they did not attend the mandatory drag show.

Odie

Is there any truth to the saying ” it ain’t gay if you’re underway”?

Heard a coworker (former army) ask another coworker (former navy) ask the same thing.

P.S. Reportedly, Churchill actually never said that but wished that he had when asked about it.

That goes along with W being asked if he ever said “strategery”. He said “No, but it kinda sounds like me!”

“…wait for another administration.” Do you mean the one that Soros, oblowme, and Dominion installs, or the one that We, The People put in after the upcoming Great Unpleasantness? Asking for a friend.

With the lack of details are we to guess that these Commanders did not insure that everyone was up to date on CRT/Woke/Muh Diversity Training. Or maybe, not enough Drag Queen Shows? After all, these vessels were “under way” and/or “not at the pier”?

Here’s a scary thought…Did they refuse to implement said mandates from Big Navy and, God Forbid (gasps/clutches pearls) attempt to turn their Commands into Old School Navy, ready to carry the fight to the enemies of our Republic?

Making room for the massive influx of recruits from the recent release of “that movie”? I’ll put these questions on ice, man. I may have flown into a danger zone and would hate to have you lose that lovin’ feelin’ for me and cook my goose.

Oh…and BTW…GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!

poetrooper

Well dang! Ol’ Poe’s getting a mite overwhelmed by Ed’s literary references.

Someone in upper management musta told him the site needs more culture… 😜

Roh-Dog

Culture ye seek? Its pouring out this place’s buttcheeks!

Uh, he’s the Redleg, I’M the dirt digger. And smile when you say that!

🤣

Not to worry, Pappy. Our very own, Beloved AW1Ed, has more than enough lost lovin’ feelin’s to go around.

Wireman611

We all saw this during Obummer’s reign. Why should this be any different. They are remaking the military in their image, and it aint pretty.

The obama purge continues

poetrooper

Can’t be that. After sending the link to Ed, ol’ Poe did a little more digging and discovered that one of the commanders is black and so is his master chief, also relieved. In addition, CDR Lesaca is Hispanic. 🤔

USMC Steve

You are forgetting that under the Homie the klown regime, blacks and hispanics got fucked at the cyclic rate, having the highest unemployment in history. Yomama didn’t do anything for them except encourage them to be racist as hard as possible.

FuzeVT

And then there were these 5 that got censured or otherwise punished relating to the AAV that sank and killed 9 a while back:

The Rainbow flag on his uniform was out of alignment when he showed up for the mandatory Gay Pride Parade. You can never recover from a son like that.

It’s worse than getting over Macho Grande.

I’ll never get over Macho Grande.

Somebody probably overheard a conversation where someone said they missed Trump.

They got to nip that shit in the bud before they poison someone’s mind.

NHSparky

Seems CDR Lesaca got himself a DUI over the weekend. That’s one way to do it for sure.

Prior Service

Army. Glad I last commanded in 2016 because every day was a risk. My assumption was that on any day I only knew about 10% of what was going on across 820 Soldiers, and what I didn’t know could burn me at any moment. The risk was particularly elevated by my firm belief that (1) my guys didn’t need me deep in their business every moment, and (2) yes , there is such a thing as NCO Business, combined with the knowledge that my NCOs could only grow to be good NCOs if I let them act at least close to what I got to act like as a team and squad leader in the late 80s.
