Out of touch as ever, President Biden celebrated record-high gas prices Monday, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels.
“[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said during a press conference in Japan following his meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The president then insisted that his administration’s actions, rather than increasing the price of gas, had actually been able to “keep it from getting worse — and it’s bad.”
The national average for a gallon of gas was $4.59 on Friday, a new record high. The current average of diesel is listed at $5.54. Joe did that. He’s right. The lines are plainly drawn, and there is a transition coming.

That the grid is incapable of supporting mass use of electric cars is irrelevant. Too many people have cars. Use mass transit or walk.

Something I read about today is the reality that getting electric cars is not an option for people who rent, even if they could afford one. This is because their landlords are not going to pay for the installation of the charging equipment in their buildings.
Moreover, where is the electric capacity on the grid going to come from for many tens of millions of electric cars?
According to the shit-for-brains liberals, we should have more than what we need by now via windmills, solar, fairy dust and unicorn farts.
And naturally, they forget how winters can be here in the plains and elsewhere. It took Texas a while to recover from the sudden freeze a couple of years back, that nearly destroyed their electrical infrastructure. (Windmills froze, no sunlight for solar panels, and so on.) Obviously, other parts of the country experience harsher winters than Texas does, so there’s that.
That capacity would be there in spades if we had adopted
nuclear power long ago.
And, if you own, insurance ain’t gonna let you have a charging station in the house (garage even) or w/in 100 ft of it due to the fire hazard.

Speaking of voting, today was Primary Election Day here in God’s Country (a State that one of the Guv Candidates said is the worst place to live in. Do wish that fat bitch would go back to where she came from, sorry Brother SkyJumper). Every person that went to vote had to show a valid ID and signature, even the ones of us that were personally known by the poll workers. As I slid my ballot into the Dominion Machine, I had to wonder; Did the graft and corruption of Atlanta seep it’s way down to my little burg? Did they notice that a predominately Black County went for Trump in 2020? Other, nearby, metro counties are already reporting “problems” with the voting machines. Imagine that.
Just came home from voting and on the return drive learned from a Little Rock talk show that Arkansas voting machines are monitored and managed out of state. Ol’ Poe is definitely unhappy with that situation.
