Obligatory Sotomayor Post

| July 14, 2009

First let me voice my humble opinion.

Judge Sotomayor is a race baiting, gun grabbing, anti-property rights, anti-Constitutional, intellectually lazy, feminazi. Every accomplishment in her life since potty training has been a direct result of PC thinking and affirmative action.

Having said that, understand this; she will get appointed. Period End of story.

This is a matter of picking your fights.

There is absolutely nothing Republicans can do to stop this abomination and shouldn’t waste a bunch of time trying. In fact, maybe they should vote unanimously to support her.

Here’s my reasoning. She won’t be any worse that the assclown she’s replacing so the damage is actually minimal.

Killing Cap and Trade and nationalized health care in the senate is far more important. Showing a little bi-partisanship on this will give some cover for the Democrats in the senate that we will need to kill these economy killers.

Besides listening to Schumer and Leahy is making me physically ill.

Do you have evidence to back up any of those attacks?

Nice job, Matt. I hope he took notes as he did his drive-by here. Dkos and the du and the like must have issued the orders to the good little fascists to go to all blogs who even have a whiff of people who can think, just to start trolling.

1. There is little or no evidence to suggest that her ethnicity effects her legal judgement. Diversity on the court is not a bad thing.Ask Justice Thomas.

2. The case you are referring to had to do with mele weapons not firearms. Further, it was just cited by the conservative 7th Circuit court. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/02/AR2009060203379.html

3. Can you provide a link to this case. I found little on point.

4. Not unusual and no an issue for her personally, but the panel as a whole.

5. This one was my favorite. True as far as it goes but very misleading. 60% of the rulings reviewed by the Supreme Court were reversed, but that was only 1.3% of her overall caseload and would not be unusual, considering the Supreme Court reversed 68% of the cases it heard last term. Which was down from 73% from the previous term.
