More on the Palin resignation

| July 3, 2009

Here’s a video of part of Sarah Palin’s announcement if you missed it;

The most amazing part of this story is how the East Coast pundits are all falling right into character by announcing that Palin is a dunce for not doing what they would expect a prospective presidential candidate to do – the approved behavior, so to speak.

I suspect she stepped down from the governorship to fill the hole in the GOP created by Mark Sanford, not because of the imagined pressure she’s been under for the last year. Republicans who are criticizing her, ought to look at their recent record in electioneering. They certainly haven’t stumbled on to a winning system yet.

Added: Snortworthy comment from the DNC by way of CNN;

“Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can’t handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down,” DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse said.

“Either way, her decision to abandon her post and the people of Alaska who elected her continues a pattern of bizarre behavior that more than anything else may explain the decision she made today.”

How would the DNC characterize the four years of no-show votes from then-Senator Obama and his responsibilities to the voters of Illinois?

“I suspect she stepped down from the governorship to fill the hole in the GOP created by Mark Sanford”

If you mean “the governor embroiled in scandal last week” then you may be right.

Seriously, did you not notice the repeated references to ethics investigations as reasons for her decision ? Why on earth would you voluntarily link that to the name “Mark Sanford” ?

Valerie

I think its just possible that she simply told the truth: that she has confidence in her lieutenant governor and the team in place in her home state, and that she is taking action to end the frivolous ethics claims that waste the resources of the people of Alaska. She’s absolutely right that she doesn’t have to be in public office right now in order to accomplish much on behalf of her country, and I look forward to watching her next moves.

Idiots. They love to dish, but are never held accountable for their own shit.

Frankly Opinionated

Someone, somewhere has to start the reversal of the Republican idiocy that says they have to appease the liberal Democrats. If this start comes from the far Northwest of the USA, so be it. For me, Sarah Palin may not be the best choice for president, but she is head and shoulders above all others who have attempted to run, have run, even have won in recent years, (since Ronald Reagan). Even as a visible, vocal, non-running citizen; she has the ability to cause more Americans to open their damned eyes, smell the coffee, and maybe do the right thing and vote for America instead of for themselves.
It has to start somewhere, and She is as good a face as any to put on the movement. I am standing with her and her cause. When Fred Thompson left the campaign trail, many said that he had “lost”. Fred Thompson is no loser, and has never lost anything in his life. He did what he needed to do, and went home to his family. So too, is Sarah Palin not a loser. She has family, and more than anything, she has honor. She will be a winner to her death.

And Brad Woodhouse can’t see any “bizarre behavior” in a President apologizing to anyone and everyone he sees, bowing to a king, running up debt that our children’s grandchildren won’t be able to pay off? Moron!!! But he’s a spokesman for the DNC, so I repeat myself.

I think that the leftists are about to get a cold dose of reality when this dust settles.

Sarah is simply following the Petraeus playbook, and taking the political war to the leftist’s doorstep. America needs someone skilled in unconventional political warfare, and Sarah Palin is that person.

I look forward to supporting her political goals, and to seeing her sworn in as the first Female President of these United States.

God Bless our great republic, and may there be a terrible price to pay for those who would seek to thwart the will and freedoms of our good citizens and states.

If she is going to spend a lot more time in the liberal lion’s den–good. Means I’ll be seeing a lot more of her.
