San Diego military base erupts into gunfire after man with knife attempts to crash gate
The individual reportedly displayed “hostile intent”

An individual was shot and killed Friday outside the entrance to a Marine Corps Recruit Depot in California.Base officials told police that the person was shot and killed by a guard outside the gate of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego just off the Pacific Coast Highway.
“Base personnel issued verbal commands to stop the vehicle at which point the individual exited their vehicle and approached with a knife and hostile intent,” First Lieutenant Joshua Collins of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Homeowner holds alleged burglar at gunpoint

Daniel Earl, 38, of Quincy could have gotten shot Tuesday by homeowner Jim Johnson, authorities said, instead Earl is in jail, where he faces a prison sentence on a charge of home invasion as a habitual offender.Johnson arrived at his Sebring Road home and observed the front door ajar. He looked into the living room and saw Earl facing away from him with a hatchet in his hand, authorities said. Johnson went back to his truck, got a handgun, and held Earl at gunpoint.
A dispatcher at 911 got Johnson to move Earl to his front porch, where the man sat down. They urged Johnson to put down the gun until Branch County sheriff’s deputies arrived to prevent an accidental shooting. Johnson told them Earl was “not aggressive.”

A pregnant Florida woman died after a motorcyclist that she intentionally hit with her car shot her last week, cops said.
Sara Nicole Morales started the road rage incident when she struck Andrew Derr, 40, with her car on purpose while making a turn last week, according to the Orange City Police Department.
Derr, who was not injured in the “minor crash,” asked Morales to stay on the scene while he called police, and pursued her along with other witnesses when she refused, cops said.
Morales drove to her house and went inside before returning with a gun to confront Derr, who was on the phone with police outside the home, according to officials.
The biker then pulled out a legal concealed handgun and shot the woman dead, police said.

Better yet….what was she drinking/smoking/injecting?
Apparently, Morales’ anger(over the incident she reportedly instigated) impaired her better judgement. More’s the pity that in the heat of that moment, Morales did not have the presence of mind to consider the life of the motorcyclist she’d struck, the life of the child that she had and the life she had yet to give birth to. In spite of her instigation, if only she’d left her gun in the house and just come out to apologize with only her drivers license and insurance card in hand. With the disclosed facts at hand, it would appear that this situation was avoidable. But, putting myself in the motorcyclists boots for a moment, think I would’ve reacted same way. Pretty certain Claw’s Wiz Wheel is going to factor high on this one. Sad, really…
