Armed Woman Dies Following Allen Police Officer-Involved Shooting In Wendy’s Parking
ALLEN, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – An armed woman who was fired upon by an Allen Police officer during a disturbance call in a Wendy’s parking lot on Monday, Sept. 27, died.
Police identified her on Tuesday as Gloria Marie Strong, 27.
A man is hospitalized.
Police said he is Michael Anthony Cooper, 24.
Police said the incident began shortly before 2:30 p.m. at 301 Central Expressway South.
When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the disturbance but began looking around the area.
In the Wendy’s parking lot at 601 W. McDermott Dr (located one building to the east) officers saw a woman holding a rifle at her side and immediately heard several gunshots.
Officers rushed to the location as Strong still holding the rifle, began to run east, resulting in an officer firing at least one shot at her, the department explained in a news release.

Hillsboro man fatally shot by deputy after traffic stop in Happy Valley
HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. (KATU) — A deputy shot and killed a 26-year-old Hillsboro man while trying to take him into custody during a traffic stop in Happy Valley early Monday morning, the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office said.
The incident started at around 2 a.m. near Southeast 145th and King Road.
Deputies tried to pull over the driver of a Ford Ranger pickup with no license plates, but they said he didn’t stop; instead, he drove down a dead-end road.
Deputies flattened the pickup truck’s tires with spike strips when he tried to drive out. They were able to stop the truck at Southeast 145th and Ridgecrest where, they said, Nathan Thomas Honeycutt struggled with deputies and then drew a revolver.

If it has a rifled barrel, it puts spin on 410 shot & creates a “doughnut hole” shot pattern, so you miss what you’re aiming for in the middle. Maybe work for 410 slug? (is there such a thing?)
If it has a not-rifled barrel, 45LC will tumble & miss upon leaving the barrel. Again, not good.
Any of The Judge iterations seems to be a solution creating its own problems.
There are 410 slugs. In regards to the accuracy, if you are shooting OO buckshot the large pellets are lined up single file. As such the spin imparted to them is just like that imparted to a round ball from a muzzleloader so they are stabilized as much as a round ball can be. The 45 LC shoot rather nicely through it but will never be as accurate as a dedicated 45 like the S&W model 25 due to the rather large jump from cartridge to barrel rifling. It’s no target gun but not all that bad either unless you are using small shot like 8 or 7’s.
