Ouachita County deputy wounds armed man during domestic disturbance call

by Ashton Eley
A Ouachita County Sheriff’s deputy shot an armed man early Sunday during a domestic disturbance call south of Camden, according to an Arkansas State Police news release.

Two deputies were dispatched around 1:45 a.m. to a home on Arkansas 376 and began searching a wooded area near the residence for John Wesley Williams, 47, of Ouachita County. Williams had fled the home where he lived with two women, according to the Monday afternoon news release.

During the search, Williams fired a shotgun twice as the deputies moved closer. They ordered Williams to drop the gun, but he ignored the command and pointed the gun at one of the deputies who fired his service weapon striking Williams, according to state police.

Coast Guard stops boat off Dominican Republic with 250 kilos of cocaine

BY DAVID GOODHUE
U.S. Coast Guard crews based in Key West stopped a speedboat off the Dominican Republic last week that the agency said was hauling 10 bales of cocaine.

The total weight of the drugs was around 250 kilograms with a wholesale value of about $7.5 million, according to a Coast Guard press release issued Monday.

The 25-foot boat was about 145 nautical miles south of Hispaniola last Wednesday when a U.S. law enforcement aircraft detected the vessel and radioed the Coast Guard Cutter Kathleen Moore to intercept it.

Police: Officer shoots suspect who pulled out gun

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (AP) — A Prince George’s County police officer shot a carjacking suspect in Temple Hills on Sunday morning and a second suspect fled and remains at large, police said.

Police said officers called to the parking lot of Skate Palace on Branch Avenue for a report of a carjacking, met two people, who then ran from officers in opposite directions, news outlets report.

An officer confronted one suspect, who allegedly pulled a gun from his waistband, and the officer fired, striking the suspect in the lower body, Police Chief Malik Aziz told reporters. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said. The other man evaded police and remained missing Sunday afternoon, police said.

YOU’RE LATE!!!…but we won’t demand an accounting of yourself. I’m sure it had something to do with the distractions of that trophy wife, her Honey Do List, the despair of Navy ever winning another gridiron competition, a glick from the inherwebz, or…reasons. All is forgiven, you are here now.

Sniffy prezzy Joe’s theory on shotguns for defence are blown away by an officer’s target acquiring skillz. Hunter is concerned as to where this weekend’s party favors are going to come from. The gud bois were just needing a ride to choir practice.

The reviewer was not kind at all to the Colt 2000…Neither were the commenters. That is those that could stay on subject and not get distracted by the mention of the Remington 51. Not that familiar with the Colt 2000, but that’s what you have happen when you try to build a plasticized abomination instead of using metal and wood as God, the two (2) Samuels (Walker and Colt) and His Most Saintly JMB (Howitzer Be His Name) intended.
