SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. — A suspect was shot and killed after multiple attempted carjackings in Hillsborough County.
According to deputies, the incident happened around 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday in the parking lot of the Publix located at 4854 Sun City Blvd.
During a press conference, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said the suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Eric Jackson, was walking around with a semi-automatic handgun as he attempted to carjack multiple victims. After realizing the vehicles were locked, Jackson then tried to enter the businesses in the shopping plaza.

Hillsborough County, Fluruduh! *sigh* My Precious Darlin’ Dumplin’ Daughter has been stuck behind enemy lines there, (she’s a proud UGA Honor Graduate Dawgette) since ’05. Remember when this incident happened. They lived just a few miles east of this location and did her shopping at the Publix in SC till they built another right up the road from their place. She had been at that Publix earlier that day, preggers with the soon to be born Baby Girl. She is semi content, but not truly happy working for HC BoE. That no count Noo Yawk (damyanky), for (BEAT) Navy (submariner), and a LAWER to boot!, wanted to be a big fish in a smaller pond. The 5 or 6 trips down I used to make (can’t make the drive alone anymore, DAAAAMMNIIT!) have become maybe seeing them twice or 3 times a year now. Hey Hondo, next time you want to make a road trip swing over/down this here away, we’ll listen to Classic Old School Tunes and talk trash about POS Valor Thieves, rolling down HWY 41.
Wouldn’t mind wrapping myself around that thar shooting iron…’specially if it was mine. Wonder if they can float?
For Hondo…RIP Duanne, BO, Greg
