Another lawsuit against the estate of Daunte Wright
Last week we talked about the estate of Daunte Wright (the man accidentally killed by a Minneapolis-area police officer while he was resisting arrest and fleeing) being sued by one of his alleged victims. Coming in on the tip line was another lawsuit filed against the estate from yet another of Daunte Wright’s alleged victims. The one last week was a former friend of Wrights who had a “falling out” and ended up with a bullet in the back of his head.
This latest lawsuit is from a fella who was apparently an acquaintance of Wright (known to Al Sharpton as “the Prince of Brooklyn Center”). Wright and another man are alleged in the lawsuit of having carjacked at gunpoint the plaintiff’s car after they shot him.
From KARE11;
Three weeks before he was killed by Brooklyn Center Police, a new lawsuit alleges Daunte Wright participated in the carjacking and shooting of a 20-year-old black man on North Washington Avenue in Minneapolis.
The victim, Joshua Hodges, survived the gunshot wound to his leg but spent two weeks in the hospital and continues to suffer pain and permanent injuries, according to his attorney Mike Padden.
Attorney Ben Crump, who has developed an uncanny ability to be retained as legal counsel for the families of black men who die even remotely in the vicinity of a police officer, responded that these lawsuits are slanderous to the memory of the Prince of Brooklyn Center (who was wanted for illegally carrying a gun and fighting with police at the time he died, and also had an open armed robbery case). Crump said;
“Already grieving the loss of their loved one, is Daunte Wright’s family also expected to endure this character assassination on top of it? The audacity of this attorney is disappointing, and we implore members of the community to not be drawn in by these opportunistic efforts to tear down Daunte and hurt his family. Ploys like these aim to do one thing: distract. But our team will not be distracted in our fight for justice in this case and in our fight for justice for all marginalized communities.”
“these lawsuits are slanderous to the memory of the Prince of Brooklyn Center”.
It ain’t slander if it’s true. Once again, Karma gets her way.
The family lawyer needs to look up the definition of irony, after uttering the words “character assassination” and “opportunistic efforts”. He probably has a framed photo of Johnny Cochran on his desk.
A prime example of the redistribution of wealth. Barack Obama would be proud.
Looks like payoffs from the Ghetto Lottery are going to have multiple winners from now on…🤑🤑🤑😜
Nothing makes an ambulance chaser angrier than another ambulance chaser chasing his ambulance.
Now that there is funny…
No, No, No, No, No! You people have it all wrong! This “Pillar of the Community” and this “Prince of Brooklyn Center”, before having his head laid on a pillow…in the Community, was turning his life around…he had found Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and was looking to apply to Junior College. Armed robbery? No, that was just him asking a friend for a donation to purchase choir robes. Carjacking? pffft! Just needed a ride to choir practice. /s/
Character assassination? Bitch pull-leaze. You have to have some character for it to be assassinated. It is a good thing for this Community that he is no longer the center parasite and has taken his Wrightfull place as a pillar in Hell. Enjoy that Barbed Cock, Punk!
I thought that Daunte Wright was a “good, church-going young man” and a “pillar of the community” who dindunuffin?
Perhaps 10/12 baby mommaz will try for a slice of the pie also.
Lotta DNA swab kits being shoplifted in the hood, hmm?
Ben Crump is an infected boil on the ass of society
Perfect description, Fyrfighter.
Thank you sir
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes your estate still has to pay.
I bet there are a few people who could tap into George Floyd’s 27 million. That is, if the family hasn’t blown it all already.
Crump has already taken his third of the settlement. So, the family only had 18 million to blow.
