Bystanders rush to aid San Francisco officer attacked, put in ‘death grip’
(SAN FRANCISCO) — A bystander who rushed to help when an officer was attacked in San Francisco said the suspect “had a death grip on her.”
The officer responded Friday evening to a report of a person making threats, and after making contact with the suspect, the suspect assaulted her, the San Francisco Police Department said.
Michael Waldorf said he saw the Asian female officer pull up to the scene, walk over to the suspect and tell him to turn around.
“He turned around put his hands behind his head,” Waldorf said, but then, “I saw him grab her, pull her to the ground.”
“He had a death grip on her,” Waldorf told ABC News. “He was holding on very tightly to her, squeezing her, squeezing her head and pulling her hair.”
Several bystanders rushed to the officer’s side, including Waldorf.
“I saw that it was an emergency and she was in trouble,” he said. “I ran over and immediately tried to free her from his grip — hitting him in the head.”
Waldorf said other officers quickly responded and he stepped aside.

OAKVILLE, Mo. – St. Louis County Police have released new information regarding an overnight fatal shooting at an Oakville apartment complex. However, people at the complex dispute the department’s claims.According to Sgt. Benjamin Granda, a county police spokesman, the shooting happened just before 2:10 a.m. in the 2800 block of Blackforest Drive. Officers responded to a burglary in progress and found a 27-year-old man had been shot.
Officers attempted to save the man’s life but he later died at a local hospital.
Granda said police learned the man, identified as Alex Mitchell, was trying to break into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment when he was shot.
The ex-girlfriend had screamed for help and a neighbor heard her. The neighbor armed himself and went out to confront Mitchell.

Hat tip once again to our resident Gun Bunny for the links. Today’s gun pr0n is brought to us by one of our ninjas. The Army ordered up this nasty little wheel gun for “Tunnel Rats” use in Viet Nam. Think about it- crawling into a VC black hole armed with a snubbie and a flashlight. I can’t see how they squeezed their big brass ones into the tunnel.

BZ to the citizens (and other officers) coming to the aid of the female officer. Here’s hoping that Bubba and the Bois in Cell Block C squeeze this perp’s head, pulls his hair, and gives him something to choke on.
Another BZ to the neighbor coming to the aid of Ms Thang and taking out the trash. Hey dirtbag, there were reasons that she became your ex. OAM was right when she commented that a true gentleman has his DNA hardwired in him to defend the women folk…and the kids.
That there QSPR kinda reminds me of me…short, stubby, and can expel gases that can be deadly at short ranges. I got picked for some basic Tunnel Rat training way back yonder because I was a skinny, wormy little phuquer. Glad I never had to tunnel rat for reelz. Much respect for them boys.
“engineers at AAI used so called “captive piston” cartridge system, where hot powder gases are captured inside the cartridge case once their short work of expelling a payload is done”
I’ll bet those guys were a hoot in shop class.
Never know…caught up with a young lady who almost became my first ex…some seriously hot good times had been had by all. When we got in touch many years later, turned out she had a very impressive career in explosives research.
Amazing little gun, or I guess I should say ammunition! What kind of range could said device be used? I’m sure the pistol is just for a few feet, would a shotgun be good for 25? I’ll bet there would be a market for it today!
Looks like one of those up-close-and-personal assassin’s guns.
Like some people’s farts……SBD.
I wonder if you could “roll your own” on the ammo?
