19-year-old Puyallup resident shoots two of three armed intruders, police say

By Christine Clarridge
Two men were shot by a tenant in a Puyallup apartment complex after three armed intruders entered the residence intending to “commit a burglary or home invasion robbery,” Puyallup police said Wednesday.

Investigators believe that the two men who were shot, along with a third, were armed when they entered a Riverside Park Apartments unit around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, Puyallup police said.

Once inside the residence in the 3100 block of East Main Avenue, the three men were confronted by an armed 19-year-old who fired multiple rounds at the intruders, police said.

“Officers arrived to find a very chaotic scene with two individuals having been shot and multiple reports of individuals and vehicles fleeing the area. The two individuals who had been shot, both of whom were males in their early 20s, were located some distance from each other,” police said on Twitter.

Police: Gun fired by neighbor during dispute over parked car was ‘lawful’ under Castle Doctrine

by: Kevin Accettulla
HORRY CO, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach woman was arrested Wednesday after an argument over a parked car in Horry County, according to police.

Officers were called to Tartan Lane at about 11:45 a.m. for reports of shots fired, according to the report. When officers arrived, a woman, who was identified as Lissa Marie Swiggett, 35, told officers a neighbor had parked a car blocking her driveway.

Swiggett told police she went to the neighbor’s house to tell them to move the car and the neighbor fired a gun, according to the report. The neighbor told police she was sleeping when Swiggett repeatedly rang her doorbell.

The neighbor said she opened the door and Swiggett was yelling and threatening her, so the neighbor grabbed a revolver and moved the car, according to the report. Swiggett allegedly kept yelling at her and threatening her so the neighbor fired one shot into the air.

P U, y’all up in my crib? Bam Bam Bam. Mighta only hit 2 of them, but I’m sure the 3rd one had some skid marks on him. And, nope…2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Shorely be a crazy eyed, snake headed sister golden (bottled) haired no surprise about that. This was her 3rd strike on the teh stoopid. I’ll pass and let IDC SARC hit that one.

The Kahrs are nice little bang bangs, ‘specially in a 40 cal. Coupla problems with them I’ve found. They don’t make good boat leak plugs and they don’t float.

KoB;

I once mentioned that around 2008 or 09, I bought a Kahr .45 sub compact single stack and The recoil spring was so hard to rack the slide that it took two men and a boy to do it. The store/range salesman said that it was a strong spring and I should have thought better about buying it. I went to their range which was inside the store the following Saturday and had to wear cloth gloves with little red rubber dots on them to grip the slide. After firing a couple of rounds, the mag fell out and I tried firing it again and the mag fell out so I made the gun safe and happened to notice that a square piece at the rear of the slide was missing which I found it on the floor. The owners son wanted to give me a refund right away and gave me this look like I may have dropped the gun on the floor and I guess he may have checked out the range camera footage by my firing point, so I told him I’d do a trade by buying the Springfield XD striker fired double stack .40 3 Inch barrel. I found out that Kahr had a quality control issue at the time with their products. I called up a friend of mine who was in the station 1 Fire house for Sunday drill and told him the story and the Engine 1 Capt. who was standing there tell my friend that one of the guards whom he works with at the Nassau County Jail had Kahr problems. Carried the XD for a number of years until I bought the Springfield XD E single stack 9MM exposed hammer 3 Inch barrel at another store/range. It’s is a little more narrower on the slide and frame which I like.
