Using TWO frying pans? Ex, any kin to you? And were they cast iron pans?
Heh heh. Made mention in my posting to ‘Ed as to whether they were cast iron frying pans, Tox. Poked around the inherwebz for a follow up/expanded story. No joy on that. Doubt if homeboy is related to Mi’Lady Ex-PH2. I somehow get the feeling that if SHE jumped on someone with 2 frying pans, their goose would be cooked…she’d have them on ice…man.
Kudos to the officer breaking up the illegal attempt to redistribute the wealth. Additional bone to the Good Doggie of the popo K-9 Corps.
Good on the Durham Lady, defending her home. Maybe dirtbags condition will cause him to be released to the Coroner.
Gotta wonder how many P08s and P-38s captured from Kommerad made it back home to either the States or Russia. Papa took a PPK with holster from an ossifer that he and some other gun bunnies captured. Older Brother has it, kept safely, and full instructions that it is to never be sold and stay in the family. It is in perfect firing and nearly perfect cosmetically.

Never bring frying pans to a knife fight and getting to the point, never bring a knife to a frying pan fight so things panned out with the frying pan perp (stabee) going to the hospital most likely with the armed knife victim (stabber).
Ah, you beat me to it. That was my first thought re the frying pans burglar.
Nice looking Luger. I remember popular Science magazine had those mail order Stoeger .22 lugers for sale. Too young at the time to buy one. This was back in the 1950’s before the 68 firearms act.
There were a great many “bring backs” from WWII. You can tell that the 9mm ones that weren’t imported more recently have no importer marks on them. Friend has a P08 that was made in 1916 but was modified as a Weimar police weapon as it has a sear part attached to prevent police officers from accidentally shooting themselves or others when disassembling their Lugers for cleaning with a round chambered.
