That 2nd Amendment Thing….

| January 30, 2021

Even though I’m quite tired of the implied threats of all sorts from the Biden (Lack Of) Administration, I’m quite well aware that there is a movement underfoot to deprive US citizens of their 2nd Amendment rights to bear arms. I could bare my own arms, but that’s a different story. And I have yet to see exactly what is meant by “arms”, which is a very loose term not clearly defined in any of that stuff released thus far.

But before you get your shorts in a bunch, the following stuff is what I found by snooping around on the interwebs.

Take away the 2nd Amendment? Well, here’s the start of something big, with this first video: some states are declaring themselves sanctuary states, or have already done so.

This guy goes over Biden’s newby federal law that will wipe out the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution. He even put page tabs on the printout, to keep track of things, and he’s quite earnest. I give him at B++ for his efforts, but he seems a bit jumpy to me.

And then, there’s this little gem from the Obama epoch, which bars Social Security recipients from owning a gun for self-protection if they are judged mentally deficient. It’s being revived by the Biden Admin:

https://socialsecurityintelligence.com/social-security-gun-ownership/

Those disorders or impairments are listed here: https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/20/appendix-1_to_subpart_P_of_part_404

Note the dates which end the effective periods. They are in effect until those dates, which means that the current administration doesn’t need to do anything at all about them. But since those people never do any research of any kind, and just jump on something and pound it, someone should take a bit of pity on them and let them know those impairments listed on 85 FR 78175 are still in effect and don’t need to be revived. Just don’t bring up the dates of expiration.

Well, what can I say? It’s almost like George III sending his Redcoats over to piss off the colonists in every way possible, isn’t it? Put a stamp on everything printed and collect a tax from it, and call it the Stamp Act. Then see what happens.  https://www.britannica.com/event/Stamp-Act-Great-Britain-1765

Stamp Act, (1765), in U.S. colonial history, first British parliamentary attempt to raise revenue through direct taxation of all colonial commercial and legal papers, newspapers, pamphlets, cards, almanacs, and dice. – Britannica

Of course, we could have another episode like the Boston Massacre, right?  https://www.masshist.org/features/massacre/trials

Oh, wait – didn’t that kind of happen a few weeks ago in WDC?

I don’t see nuthin’ about owning a sword or archery equipment being illegal, and you know just how much fun it is to hunt deer with a broadsword, don’t you?

I will say, AGAIN, they would not be trying to take the gunz from law abiding citizens if they were not planning on doing something that would make law abiding citizens want to shoot them.

I will also say, AGAIN, that the Sniff and Blow admin will do whatever and as much as they can to insure that the law abiding will have their weapons (gunz) confiscated. History is replete with examples of an over powering grubermint making slaves of their citizens.

When the grubermint outlaws gunz, only the grumbermint and criminals (but I repeat myself) will have gunz.

They want something to pound on? There are miles and miles of Sandy Beaches on our coast line. Go pound that sand.

“…from the cold stiff fingers of a body empty of blood and oxygen, surrounded by piles of expended brass!”

Yup… and not just evil “assault weapons”:

“Here it is – The Bill to Destroy Gun Ownership,” by Martin Armstrong, Armstrong Economics, 30 Jan 2021

To paraphrase an old fart from long long ago and add to it..
A standing Army is a bane to Liberty…until all 50 State Militia’s (in all forms) have a Tactical New Clearer Options, liberty will be in peril.

If you are worried about them banning bows and arrows, don’t be. Just like in the UK, one thing at a time.

Some people here didn’t believe it when I commented about this last week. Toldja. And yet the Progs call us the fascists and Nazis.

This proposed statute applies to the registration of all firearms, not just so called “assault weapons.”

Jawohl, comrade!

rgr769, what gets me is that always on their list of no-no’s is a “bayonet” and “a grenade launcher”. Fricken’ idiots!

“(B) a semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of—

“(i) a folding or telescoping stock;

“(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;

“(iii) a bayonet mount;

“(iv) a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and

“(v) a grenade launcher;

I wouldn’t sweat this too much just yet.

Jackson-Lee wrote it, but as yet has no co-sponsors.

This bill won’t even make it out of committee. Just another piece of crap she can take back to her district come reelection time to show the sheeple she’s doing something.

Hope you’re right. Sh*t can always get worse.

The firearms used in the shooting were a Remington 870 pump shotgun and a 38 Special Rossi Snub-nose wheel gun. Not an “assault rifle” or semi-auto pistol in the bunch.

This bill was introduced by Sheila Jackson Lee and is named after Sabika Sheikh, a Muslim exchange student from Pakistan. Not after any of the American citizen victims, but instead named for an exchange student. Begs the question, why??

Before the election, a number of my friends that are liberal, asked me who I was voting for. When I said Trump, they asked why. Among a number of reasons that I gave them was I felt the Dems were going to push thru gun bills. They said, “no way”. Well, guess who is going to stick a copy of this bill in front of there faces now.

I want to see pics of their faces when you show them.

One day you check your bank statement you find out your Gubmint SS/Retirement check has not been deposited. You call to report the problem and they will tell you it’s just a glitch.

While they have on the phone the ask if you own any firearms and inform you how dangerous they can be. Of course they know you do because someone in the DOJ/FBI have released your background check information to the rest of the federal gubmint. AS time goes by you experience more “glitches” and the messages get stronger that you should turn in your guns.

They could do the same thing with Medicare or Single Payer it it is forced down our throats. Add all the people that will depend on Uncle Sugar as they can’t find work due to business closings and illegals sucking up the available jobs.

If all else fails they can ask the local ANTIFA/BLM to ask you to turn in your guns. Nice home you have there, be a shame if something were to happen to it.

Mike Gunns

Yeah Fed, I had a canoe accident and all my guns are at the bottom of the lake.

Or conversely, buy a couple of gunz off the grid, so to speak.

NHSparky

Good luck with mandatory gun registration.

What kind of numbers did they come up with in NY and CT a while back?

Somewhere well south of 10 percent, IIRC.
