Man shot in the arm after attacking ex-girlfriend, 2-year-old child, police say
Ex-girlfriend acted in self defense; man may face charges, according to SAPD
SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot in the arm and may face charges after attacking his ex-girlfriend and her 2-year-old child on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened a little after 8 p.m. Friday in the 3700 block of Wurzbach Road.
Officers were called to the scene for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police saw a 25-year-old man standing outside of the residence shot in the arm, officials said.
The man was not cooperating with officers during the investigation and also appeared intoxicated, police said.

Park Manor robbery: Man shot, killed while trying to rob South Side gas station, Chicago police say
CHICAGO (WLS) — A man trying to rob a gas station in Park Manor on the South Side Thursday night was shot and killed in the process, Chicago police said.
The man tried to rob the gas station in the 6700-block of South Cottage Grove Avenue about 9:50 p.m. with a shotgun, police said. But another individual shot the would-be robber in the back and face before the shooter left the store, according to police.
The man who was shot was transported to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later died. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as 55-year-old Tyrone Smith. He lived in Park Manor.
The shooter has not yet been found, police said.

Man shoots suspect trying to break into his car along Blue Ridge Parkway, officials say

A car owner shot a person accused of trying to break into his vehicle along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina, officials say.The suspect was rushed to Mission Hospital in Asheville and needed surgery, officials told multiple news outlets on Friday.
The National Park Service says the car owner called 911 at about 3 a.m. Friday to report the attempted break-in and shooting, according to Smoky Mountain News.
The park service told WYFF the incident happened near the Blue Ridge Parkway’s mile marker 364.

Testify CH. Some of my FIRST time clock jobs were in C-Stores 55 years ago and never had any real concerns for my safety or the store’s. And some of those stores were in not the best of neighborhoods, for the times. Flash forward, some of those same locations still have a store of sorts and even the po po won’t go into the ‘hood without at least a rifle squad of backup. That may be one of the reasons that so many independent C-Stores are owned by an Asian of some sort, and are run by one of their relatives. When these looted, burned, robbed, and over regulated stores refuse to rebuild/open in these ‘hoods, that’s when you hear the cry of the RAAAAAYYYCCIIISSS Bird. In a 30 mile radius of Firebase Magnolia, Dollar General and Family Dollar seem to be purposely building robbery targets of opportunity in some really sketchy places. You can just about bet that when the Chitcongo shooter is found, he’ll be charged with murder or something. Considering the current state of today’s (in)justice system, here’s hoping and praying that the ChiCongo shooter; keeps his mouth shut, does not turn him/herself into Mayor Lightfoot’s po-po, is never found out who he/she/it is.
