Police: 2 shot while trying to rob store at Florida mall

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) – Two men were shot and wounded Friday afternoon while trying to rob a jewelry store at a Florida mall, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at the Pembroke Lakes Mall, according to a Pembroke Pines police news release. Officials said they believe no other people were involved in the shooting but were asking the public to avoid the area.

After the two men entered the jewelry store, one of the men began to smash the glass display cases while the other grabbed the exposed jewelry, police said. A store employee withdrew his concealed firearm and shot at both suspects, the release said.

Officials identify man killed after allegedly firing weapon in SLC club

By Graham Dudley
SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police Saturday identified the man who died after allegedly firing a weapon inside a nightclub earlier that morning.

Gustav Denecamp, 27, was fatally shot by a club employee about 1:30 a.m., police say.

The incident happened at the Echo nightclub at 134 W. Pierpont Ave., according to Salt Lake City Police Lt. Brett Olsen.

Olsen said the man fired a weapon and then was shot once by an employee who had his own gun. Denecamp went outside where responding officers attempted lifesaving measures, Olsen said, but he died at the scene.

No one else was injured, Olsen said.

More Fallout From 9th Circuit’s Decision

Huge Gun Victory in 9th Circuit Court. Send Thank You Notes to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

BY VICTORIA TAFT
California’s high-capacity magazine limitations for guns “infringes on [the] fundamental right to self defense” and is therefore unconstitutional, according to a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. District Court of Appeals. Yes, the court previously known as the “9th Circus” for being the most Leftist, most overturned, and most wrong court in the land, ruled in favor of the rights of gun owners on Friday afternoon.

California deemed that the use or sale of magazines with a higher capacity than ten bullets (LCMs) are illegal. Voters passed the measure. The three-judge panel in the 9th Circuit Court ruled that the limitation is unconstitutional.

The Court said in its opinion that it was “keenly aware” of gun violence and the tragedies therein, and the decision has nothing to say about “issues not before us,” such as “assault weapons” bans.

Whitworth?
Same guy that came up with those stupid MG wrenches…ahem..spanners.

Guy was into the Hex for some reason and it shows in his rifle
as well as his nuts and bolts design.
Then Sears came out with Craftsman…

Was that the rifle that Jose Wales gave Missouri boat rides with?

British Standard is no problem, just use the wrench that fits on the bolt head.. and reuse the same bolt. I find it more interesting that camera tripod mounts are Whitworth threaded to this day. No wonder nothing standard threads in worth a damn.

Re 5/77’s post below – I read that while the English were supposedly neutral, they came within a hair of endorsing the Confederacy and many were enthusiastic Confederacy supporters.

Them Floriduh boys need to get with the program on jewelry shopping. You FIRST need to start up a mostly peaceful demonstration. Less chance of being shot at if you have a large group to help you make your selections.

Radicalized Mormon? Did he catch one of his wives going in there? Somehow I never pictured there being a bar that close to the Temple in SLC. Wonder if that one will be coded a COVID death?

Common sense breaking out at the 9th Circuit? DaHell!?!? Next thing you know the seagull will be wearing a MAGA hat.

Them Johnny Rebs liked them Whitworth Artillery Pieces too. Believe there were several of them at Gettysburg, among other places. Not sure how they got all that English built stuff, you know, Enfields, Whitworths, Sailing Ships. England had declared itself to be neutral during that unpleasantness. Ironically the last Confederate Flag was lowered in Liverpool in November of 1865, when Captain James Waddell (CSN) surrendered the CSS Shenandoah. But I digress.

Major General “Uncle John” Sedgewick; “They couldn’t hit an elephant from this distance.” BANG! SPLAT! THUD!

Josey Wales; “Well Mr. Carpetbagger, we have a thing down here we call a Missouri Boat Ride.” BANG! TWANG! SPLASH! (Yeah, I know, Josey used a brass scoped .56 caliber Sharps Buffalo Rifle, but you gotta admit it was a great line and a great shot.)

There were a number of documented shots made with the Enfield, proving sometimes that it was the man as much as the rifle. Berdans Boys didn’t have much on the Rebel Sharpshooters other than purty green uniforms, Sharps long rifles, and much better rations. The 2nd Georgia Battalion Sharpshooters gave a good accounting of themselves.
