Man fatally shoots home intruder, Sumter deputies say
By LISA MARIA GARZA
A 37-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night by a home owner after he allegedly broke into the house following a fight over drugs earlier in the day, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 7300 block of County Road 647 in Bushnell and found Joshua Myers with multiple gunshot wounds. Myers was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where he later died.
Michael Donzero told investigators that Myers broke into his home after they had a “drug dispute” and he shot him in self defense.
The Sheriff’s Office said detectives are working with the State Attorney’s Office to determine if the shooting falls under Florida’s “stand your ground” law.

No charges in deadly road rage shooting in Manatee County
PARRISH, Fla. (FOX 13) – The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office will not charge a man who fatally shot another driver during a road rage incident on Saturday.
Deputies said the shooting happened at U.S. 301 and Buckeye Road on Saturday afternoon.
Investigators said the incident began when one car that was traveling eastbound started swerving in the road, running a westbound car off the road.
The driver of the swerving car pulled over and the other vehicle circled back around to get the license plate number, when an argument ensued.
The man got out of his vehicle and leaned into the other driver’s window. Deputies said the driver told him to back away and pointed his gun at him.
That’s when the man brandished his own weapon and pointed it at the driver, who then told deputies he opened fire in self-defense, killing the man.

A Florida Trifecta from the Archives, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Fitting, as el nuevo Casa de AW1 is being built there. No surprises, lived there before.
“As I have stood in the crosshairs of those who target Second Amendment freedoms, I’ve realized that firearms are not the only issue. No, it’s much, much bigger than that. I’ve come to understand that a cultural war is raging across our land, in which, with Orwellian fervor, certain acceptable thoughts and speech are mandated.” — Charlton Heston

Nothing at all wrong with an Archived DRT Trifecta. It warms the cockles of all of our Black Irish Hearts. (is that raaaacciiiisss?)
What IS wrong, is the Orwellian concepts being mandated. As I think Mason commented yesterday, that book was supposed to be a work of fiction, NOT a how to manual.
I’m sure that, as surely as the seas gives up the dead, so shall the lake covered quicksand bog give up the sunken gun safe that you so tragically lost during the hurrinado. Just as soon as you get far away from the Peoples Democratic Republic of_________. The area you heading to doesn’t have quite as much imported and home grown trash…yet.
Speaking of guns….and being stunned…that Ms Thang holding the gun in Sunday’s FGS was absolutely stunning. Which Sunday you ask? ALL of them!
Talking to a DC cop friend yesterday about the current spike in violent crime and he told me something interesting I had not considered.
He said that the normal increase in burglary, mugging, etc we would normally expect with a crime surge is not happening. When I asked why he said “look around”. Everyone is home all the time.
I LOL’d at that. Of course.
He also said that letting everyone out of county and city lockups while at the same time ending a lot of police activity has allowed a certain “element” of society to settle old scores without fear of police intervention.
So chalk another “victory” up to Obergruppenfuhrer Soros. He has his murder culture
Oh Glory Be!!
I will NEVER forgive Michael Moore(Bowling for Columbine 2002 – horrible little man that he is..) for trespassing, chasing down and needlessly harassing Charlton Heston..
Which driver got out of his car, the swerver or the swervee?????
